By not including matchmaking Bungie has effectively killed trials. Randoms probably make up about 70-80% of all crucible players.
It might be easy to find matches for trials the first few weeks the dlc drops, but after that it'll be a long ass wait in the lobby.
While I like the competitive aspect that comes with fighting another team, it's just not practical in Crucible to not have matchmaking.
Edit: ok looks like I need to clear up something. First, I'm not saying that I don't have friends to play crucible with. In fact 9/10 times I ONLY play crucible with friends because randoms are usually awful.
And secondly, I'm giving my opinion on what I think is Bungies screw up. Now I realize a good portion of you are 15yr olds who blindly defend Destiny no matter what Bungie does. And that's fine, but when you become an adult you will realize that other people won't share your opinion and to call them names shows your ignorance and lack of ability to debate. And people, please quit comparing Destiny to Halo and CoD. Destiny is it's own beast and needs to be viewed as such.
Edit2: I'm not complaining that matchmaking makes it so people can't play. In fact, my clan and I prefer fighting other clans as it is more competitive than crushing random scrubs. I'm not a sweaty try hard but my crucible stats are decent on destiny tracker. What I AM complaining about is that because there is no matchmaking trials of Osiris will have waayyyyyy less players than regular crucible. Just like raids, most casuals couldn't be bothered to go on destiny lfg, even more so for pvp where they will get crushed and tea bagged. No matchmaking=less players+competitive pvp=EVEN LESS PLAYERS=Trials of Osiris is dead.
Edit3:
no really.....sooooo many Bungie fanboys, emphasis on boys
I'm not good enough anyway...
I do wish I could play though :/
Meh. Don't care. I wasn't going to play it anyway. Nine wins and three loses? If not, start all over again? What a pain in the ass. Not worth it IMO. I think the hunter gear looks like crap anyway.
-
Kind of like how they killed raids? Oh that is right, they didnt kill raids... (this is coming from someone who is pro matchmaking for raids)
-
-
They may have killed (which is stupid, it doesn't actually do anyone any HARM) it for large chunks of people, but greatly enhanced for a smaller subset. It kind of does what a raid does - help out the minority of people who raid but does nothing for anyone who is casual PvE or PvP primarily. It's almost like they PLANNED this update or something …

Modifié par Hubio : 5/1/2015 7:02:49 PMToO doesn't have matchmaking for a reason. How would you feel if you got matched up with a level 27, a troll who just quits the game immediately, against a fireteam consisting of a hunter with crest of alpha lupi, along with his 2 bubblebro friends, one which has alpha lupi on and another with saint-14. The Trials of Osiris isn't intended for casuals or Crucible haters at all.

Oh look it's a dead horse.
grabs a stick
So, to sum up: You say trials is dead because there's no matchmaking. You say being paired with randoms is "awful". So in reality, what you should be saying is "Bungie saved Trials by ensuring that you're not playing with or against a team of randoms". I think there will be plenty of people - it's much easier to get 3 together than it is to get 6, and trials doesn't require an hour+ in order to complete.

If it was any every day event, sure. This is only on the weekends and really ismt targeting every body

4 commentairesI hate that it's not matchmaking. It's dumb. Why the -blam!- are they restricting player options so much. Currently you CAN ALREADY FORM A TEAM AND PLAY CRUCIBLE, but who the -blam!- cares that much about winning. I'm never gonna get two buddies together and be like ok I'm gonna push bridge and you're gonna cover my back herp derp. It's -blam!-ing video games. AND NOW im gonna be stuck looking for douche bags on lfg that are gonna scream at me for not reviving them. You can't meet good people in video games, most of the people are completely assholes.
-
I'd rather get my ass beaten by players who are legimately better than me than losing a match beacuse of my poor teammates. No one wants matchmaking
-
Whenever people say they hate it cause there is no matchmaking I immediately think that you have no friends and have trouble looking at the recruitment section of this app for people to play with!

Osiris is a warlock. Self rez!

1 commentaireYou think that just because we are defending our opinions that makes us bungie fanboys? Because of you are then I cannot argue because arguing with an idiot is nearly impossible.

The butthurt edits made me laugh thanks man needed that

2 commentairesDrill my ass until I bleed ~(◕ω◕✾)/ pls respond Im lonely

Maybe you should make some friends so you have some to play it with. Raids don't have matchmaking and they're very well alive. Just you wait and see.
-
I ain't fussed, less people playing trials = better rarity in trials items = profit ???

16 commentairesTrials of Osiris is end game content? There shouldn't be matchmaking. Trials is intended for the hardcore PvP player. Not casuals. They aren't trying to cater to casual players so your argument is invalid. Hardcore PvP players almost always play exclusively with their teams.
