3 Words. 12 Man Raid.
Does anyone else agree that a 12 Man Raid would be possibly the most epic battle in the game. NOW I know that alot of you are skeptical on how the connection and servers will work but that's not for us to figure out that's for bungie to discuss and figure out. Now this is just a creative Idea I thought it would be cool to share. Just think about 12 guardians taking down a huge ahamkara. It would be boss don't you think!

Edit 2 : I want to thank everyone for commenting your thoughts whether it was positive or negative it would be great to see this trend for awhile because many of us have different outlooks on how we want to play the game.
Edit 3: 2 fireteams of 6 handle there own levels until the final boss it becomes 12 on 1, That's how I see it.

So looking back, what about 8 people instead of 12? Same general concept, but less people would cut down on the lag

Very plausible. We play clash or control. 12 people. Just against each other. Occasional lag due to non dedicated servers. If they look into that they'd most likely have to ditch old gen. Then you're talkin.

1 commentaireI like the idea of a 12 man raid, but I have a couple improvements. 1. Make it 2 squads. So have a 6 man fire team. 2. Those 2 squads of 6 never meet. 3. Leave it as is. We do not need a 12 man raid. That would just be utter chaos.

Your third edit breaks the entire dynamic, unless the 12 are always together in some form, it's just running 2 raids with one big boss for both.

Destiny 1 probably can't handle this. More than likely a terrible idea if there is something punishing like an oversoul. Hard to organize I am sure even with LFG. Maybe a strike that requires 6-12 but not as difficult as a raid.

I don't think past gen consoles could handle that. Maybe in destiny 2. But it would be fun to see how it would turn out.

I would love this. The way they could incorporate this is still having only 6 people per Fireteam, but make the raid where each 6 man group has to do stuff in their area that allows the other 6 man team to keep heading forward and vice versa. Then the final boss battle would invoke each 6 man team taking turn distracting the -blam!-ing super boss while the other 6 man team does some special stuff to do massive damage to the boss. Requiring lots of coordination and teamwork in order to beat him.

Yes. I would love an actual raid. Which requires a raiding party not a six man strike team.
