Playing this whole season with one build basically, kinda sux
- Avant-Garde limits build crafting for higher levels of play, "Want to use your exotic class item for that one build you've been solely leveling up? Well think again"
- Unstable core economy is insane, and its all going away at the seasonal reset? Would someone confirm when unstable cores get reset? Isn't it in like 24 days?
- Power reset to 200 is going to feel so bad man unless the power grind is fixed to where you don't have to squeeze in every available hour in your day (yeah a lot of us aren't streamers, big surprise there I'm sure). When does power reset? Isn't it in 24 days as well? Because if that's true, bungie is on crack if they think this system was going to be fun. I understand bungie meant for 450 (max power) to be the upper echelon of accomplishments, but bruh. Make it a bit faster and much more enjoyable and don't take it away so quickly.
Should be called season of the restrictions because that's how I feel as a player. No where are all those bots that were onboard with the new loot and tier system and old gear not being transferable to tiers??? Still using those RoTN weapons in PvE??? Yeah I thought not.

I have one load-out slot reserved for a full "New/Featured" build, that I use for the portal & can overwrite next expansion when everything changes... but my other slots still have my favorite "old" builds that I like to use for raids, dungeons, even Gambit. They have the new armor archetypes, but with old weapons & exotics that are not currently "featured". Most nights, after my crew grinds the portal, we try to run a quick dungeon for our mental sanity. We dont get any good rewards from it, but we get to run different builds, use favorite weapons, and get a breath of fresh air & change of scenery. The problem with the portal is that its not a game on its own, its just a leveling system. Players just want to "play" sometimes, and not endlessly grind for level.

I get what Bungie was going for, I think, they wanted us to concentrate on leveling up our main builds and not upgrading our whole vault, but damn if it isn't brutal trying to bring a LL 10 gun up to LL X00 gun. (Same with armor.) With as many sandbox changes as Edge of Fate brought, and continues to bring, I want to try out some of my other builds, but like OP said, it's expensive as hell. I think I've got four builds that are up to, or close to, my light level, two on my Warlock and two on my Titan, which isn't a helluva lot. If nothing else on this list is addressed, the increasing costs of Unstable Core upgrades needs to be brought in line. Build crafting is a big chunk of the fun in Destiny 2, the Unstable Core economy dramatically constricts that.

I hate the new/featured gear mechanic. This basically means you only have a handful of weapons each season to use if you want the max rewards bonus and damage boosts. The worst part is the lack of antichampion compatibility with the available weapons. Your basically restricted to 15 weapons and most are solar. This mechanic really needs to go or bungie needs to greatly expand the arsenal by letting us use older gear.

Stop doing activities with Avant-Garde. -I personally don't understand the outrage on this supposed "insane unstable core economyu". Especially if you're only using one build. I'm sitting on a full set of 400 gear and 237,046 unstable cores. Perhaps I'm able to play more than you, which would be understandable if we're just comparing me to you, but I know I don't play more than a lot of people that are upset about cores. [Edit: You're only 50 levels behind me so there's no way that I play THAT MUCH more than you do.] -Power reset is a stupid idea and I hope they change this, but I sincerely doubt they will because it's all about player play time to them and the easiest way for them to increase play time is to make us grind. This is a transition year for Bungie, so to expect anything but the bare minimum from them is a going to be a waste of sanity. The Solstice event put that into perspective for me as they added nothing new gameplay-wise other than modifiers. They literally couldn't even be bothered to add something to the game that they already have the assets for because it would've been too much work to reprogram the loot drops. I completely understand the people that left the game because of the way their treating this as a transition year, but I do not understand the people that see the writing on the walls, still continue to play and then expect anything more than bare minimum from Bungie. I'm assuming all us bots that are fine with the new loot tiering have the capability to adapt and learn to play the game. All the bots that are crying about imagined restrictions are more the crowd you're looking for I imagine.

About the unstable cores, minimize infusing mismatched gear. If it's the same gear, it only costs glimmer. Until you hit 400+ power, there's really no reason to keep any armor, so just infuse it when it's higher and break it down when it's not. Save your cores for infusing your exotics.

Unstable cores are supposed to last until the next dlc. Can't say I've had the same issue with their amount either. I've fully remade multiple builds on my hunter and warlock after getting my titan to lv 400, and I didn't even use half of the unstable cores I had. I probably got another 250k easy per character, just farming solstice armor. I do, however, think that like damage numbers, resource counts should be crunched for simplicity. There is no reason to need 50k glimmer on something when it would be different to charge 500.

They need to get rid of the featured exotics because I’m OK having to do new armor but then now I can’t use my build because it’s not featured is ridiculous And my build is a healing warlock who uses speaker helmet

1 commentairemeanwhile i have been farming up to 449 with non featured gear.... i dont like the avant garde modifier, but dont act like its mandatory as well lol use whatever you want, it still works its mandatory for conquest (aka the activity you do once per season) and i dont even know any other places where its actually mandatory

3 commentairesAfter you get to 400, unstable cores start to pile up, has you will start getting mostly at level gear I am closing in on 500k, and I infuse everything and have different armor sets
