Absolutely agreed, if the max stats are going to be 200 then like hell am I going to use a negative stat modifier.

Max stats go well beyond 200.

Just general knowledge of the game. Legendary armor caps at 68 base stat. Now let's say it's also artifice armor then that's another +3 stat bump. Let's now tack on +12 for masterworking the armor. That leaves us at 83 (68+3+12 = 83). So then now let's say your helmet, arms, chest and legs all are at 83...that now 332 total stat points for a character, which is way higher than what you said. We haven't even touched the class item (which would add another +15), potential exotics (which are 85/86 stat points), mods (which add up to +50) and subclass buffs. So really the max stats a player could have goes into the 400s...not 200.

So in other words you didn’t understand what I said. I have 4x100 stats on my warlock and 3x100 +90 on my other two classes. I am well aware of how the current armor system works. I am referring to the fact that currently the maximum effective stats for a single stat for example strength is 100 points allocated to that stat. Bungie have already said they have plans to increase the effective stat allocation to each available stat to 200. So having 200 strength will actually DO something.

Then I apologize for the miscommunication. You never said what you were referring to. "Max stats" and "Max stats in an ability tier" are two separate discussion points. Now that I understand what you wrote and what was understood are two entirely different things, I can see why you responded the way you did. Eyes up.

Which is you blaming them for the miscommunication. Glad I’m able to clear it up for you. Good Luck Guardian.

That's the problem with text. YOU are inferring the tone of what I'm saying. I'm not being passive aggressive. Explaining to the person WHY I made a mistake is not being passive aggressive. If I would have said, "Well if you were a bit clearer in your comment", then I would agree with you wholeheartedly. I never promoted myself as a "know-it-all", nor did I come across aggressive in my responses. If YOU read it that way then that's your right, but I try to spread as much positivity, knowledge and assistance as I can. There's enough toxicity in this community - No need to add to it, am I right?
-
No, it’s not about text vs tone at all, it’s your word choices. “You never said what you were referring to” is you blaming them, not yourself, for the error. What you should had said if that’s what you meant would be more like “I didn’t know what you were referring to” Instead of blaming them for your mistake, which is passive aggressive behavior. Nice try at weaseling.
-
No, it's not. Me saying that is highlighting my own ignorance to the poster's statement, which is why I then go on to say that now that I understand what the poster meant, because I assumed one thing over the other, I apologized for the miscommunication, which seemed sufficient to the poster themselves. But here you are wanting to be combative and for what? I'm not weaseling. I'm not being passive aggressive. I openly and repeatedly acknowledged my error, yet you are still here going at it. I'm done and don't need, nor want, to engage in back-and-forth on a moot topic. I made a mistake. I owned up to the mistake. If you feel there's more to it, then reconcile it with yourself because I'm not going to enable your negativity and pessimistic attitude.
-
Yeah it is. Pointing out how you’re being passive aggressive isn’t being combative either. Just trying to project and make excuses. Thanks for proving me right. Buh bye!

Max stats being increased to 200 is a reference to the ability tiers being increased to 200 with the upcoming armor system. You misunderstood the use of phrase max stats and the future tense. You assumed numerical max instead of effective max. And the future reference indicates that they are referring to the upcoming change, which you should have known Mr know it all So the misunderstanding was done by you. Mind Down Guarfian

Which is why I apologized for the miscommunication. Appreciate you doubling down on my error. Eyes up Guardian.

People are weird like that. They want to villainize people even though you did nothing wrong. It is 100% a text vs tone thing. To refuse otherwise is to be delusional and/or to purposely be disingenuous. Especially when that person wasn't part of the conversation to begin with. They're looking for a win.

I wish you a pleasant day

I appreciate you being understanding of my error and, presumably, not seeing any malicious intent behind our conversation. Seems not all see the conversation in the same light. Eyes up Guardian and I hope RNG blesses you!

Because the trade offs are more valuable than the dip in stats.
