You people are annoyingly depressing
Cool, you're tired with the game. It's a lull period, we all get it. You've done "everything" because all the hard content is either too far above your skill ceiling (no offense), or just not interesting to you. Bungie was terrible towards former employees, and the company has been burning a hole in its revenue stream for years until it reached a breaking point like it did. So you don't feel great about supporting them after everything, valid.
But really, the game is in a down period because Sony is making Bungie refocus. We won't see anything new because there was no big plan after TFS: all leadership had was what we got right now. Restructuring takes time, and refocusing teams into new pathways will take awhile.
Every expansion sold less than the previous one since Beyond Light, that was a failed model for a live service game clearly. With the ending of the main story, it's alright to feel like you're done and complete because you've finished the big goal you never knew you started with the game.
But if you really believe Sony is going to let this game die after spending billions on it, then you're delusional at best. Destiny 2 is a massive revenue stream and while profits have been down, the revenue stream alone is why Sony was interested. Bungie is changing, the game will be different, and things will start to take effect months from now while Sony and Bungie figure out how to actually take care of their moneymaker. Instead of shooting themselves in the foot by spreading out their staff to meaningless projects that went no where.
So go off, play other games or w.e and chill out. Destiny is going to be fine eventually, it's not the end of the world. Go outside and find something else to make you happy if it's bothering you that much, sheesh.

40 commentairesI saw that datto video and he’s like “ I play this game for a living I’ve done everything in this game I wish they would make the game harder for me” 😂 Like geez buddy a lot of players are working men and women not no life 24/7 destiny players. Making the game harder is not going to bring me back, removing sbmm and bringing back house of wolves and dark below style DLCs will. And we had legit pvp weapon drops in d1 like pc+1, matador 64 and btrd bring those type of drops back not locked behind a pve quest. But seriously bungie please do not listen to that one kid who plays destiny 24/7 he does not speak for working people/familys.

The thing is it's not supposed to be a lull period. There is a new exotic mission and should be story along side it. People are upset because the only story is the exotic mission. There should be story and new new things to do. They got really lazy because of these episodes and it's really showing. There is nothing to do and you don't feel powerful as a guardian. Like we just killed the most powerful being we have ever seen and we are out there getting one or two tapped in strikes. The game just isn't fun this way.

Way before Sony bought Bungie, Bungie was taking the resources from this game and using it for their other projects.

FYI… Sony brought Bungie for their research and development skills, not Destiny.

4 commentairesNah, I'll continue to complain that the game I like isn't as good as it could and should be by now. So many chances and years wasted with low effort and greed. So, if I didn't get the alternate universe where 75%+ of the content released (minimum) was forsaken/TFS level or better... I'm going to complain and feel bad about it. Deal with it.

They've started leaking out, but generally this place still serves its role as a containment board. I'll still stay here to voice dissent, and I commend anyone who makes that same decision, but at the end of the day we would rather have this infestation here than in any bigger platform.

Fully agree with you. This game has always had player count drop after major dlc releases, and it will go back up like it always does when episode 2 starts. I also find the constant posts claiming the game is dead with its few hundred thousand players. I hope those people are making those posts bought and are playing Concord just to wee a truly dying game.
