the new raid

haven't completed it, only haven't done the fourth bit. some feedback Holy Hand Grenade, yeah the game could use one. Literally no room for error and then when you get it right, since you've been in there forever learning, then the Knights don't respawn, can't pick up the "square/triangle/circle" cause you gotta kill a knight to get one. How do you expect Sherpa's to sherpa? now everyone needs to play at the 1% level and hope the game doesn't get glitching when you do it right. frustration is f-u-------n ?

  • First three encounter arnt that bad Did it last week for the first time and was guided very well though it Fourth encounter is hard but to me that is a case of time select in the raid and you will figure it out Witness boss fight 2 people doing mechanics and 4 adds clears the dps phase is hard but you can learn that in the 12 man activity

  • I'm in a bad position with the new raid. I'm a titan main but everyone wants hunter for it and so I never got chance to try it. Now it's, must have dozens of clears, know what to do or kick. So I've no idea if I'll do it. Party due to bungie screwing over titans with a rubbish prasmatic

    • The encounter is very hard to learn but very easy to perform. When you're doing it right, it plays VERY well and is very fun.

          This is a raid that I will not be farming. I got my 1 clear and have not touched it since. Difficulty is fine but it comes at the cost of replay ability. And this raid is so tedious and long to even be worth wasting 4-8 hours of my time. The little room for error makes finding lfg teams just a toxic nightmare (the KWTD or get kicked crowd know what I’m talking about) and is not helping the experience. I get it’s the final raid and has the biggest bad of the bad in it but raids need to have that balance of fun, difficulty, length, AND REPLAY ABILITY. This raid falls too much into the category of do once and never again due to how long and tedious it is.

          • Weeks ago, I tried doing a sherpa run for some clan mates and ended up spending 10 hours before we ended up calling it at the witness. I like this raid, but I agree it’s not easily taught. But I feel like most people wouldn’t really be struggling with this raid if it weren’t for those gosh darn stasis and strand psions. They are literally the most frustrating enemies in the game right now lol. They’re literally the hardest part of the first 2 and last encounters #nerfpsions

            • Plenty of room for error, people just do things that will shoot themselves in the foot without realizing it. For example, never kill a knight unless you are specifically picking up their shape (knights always left=circle, mid=triangle, right=square) or you’re already done. Ad clearing the knights will screw you unless you’re crazy fast and can pick up and dunk all of them before despawn.

            • Its not that hard. This raid was not made for the more casual players. RoN, DSC, VoG, Kings Fall, Crota, Garden, and even Vow are all easy and made with the casual in mind. Use Salvations as a reason to get better at the game. That way when you are finally able to clear it without much struggle it will feel rewarding. However the 4th encounter is buggy. This does need some work, for example if you are holding a shape and go through the 3 ghost "death" phase before dunking and then use that shape after the death phase it can cause it to not take that shape from your room but give the player you dunked on an extra shape so instead of having 6 total shadows (2 per room) you will have 7. Then like you mentioned knights sometimes dont respawn but all in all this raid is incredible.

            • Yes gaming has quite literally brainwashed the masses of people who can't think for themselves to accept that frustration is the new fun. If you don't believe me just look at elden ring. Dying 300 times to the same boss is not my definition of fun but whatever. I swear most gaming is just masochism at this point. 😆

                The streamers ENDLESSLY begged Bungie to make it this awkward, difficult, and non-enjoyable as possible. They literally went on and on for months, basically threatening Bungie, that it had BETTER be like this. Now its so convoluted and niche that on a community-wide view almost no-one will ever do it. Only 15% have even done ONE raid. This will be the lowest completed raid. The resources wasted and the opportunity cost is staggering just to appease promoters.

                • Personally, I think they should add the raid weapons and exotic as potential rewards for GM excision clears since it's pretty challenging and the witness boss fight is basically just a continuation of the raid boss fight.

                • I'm going to be honest, from my 17 clears of the raid I have yet to encounter these "bugs" that people are having on the fourth encounter. Only bug that I have encountered is the game randomly wiping us with 1 minute left but if you have a video showing otherwise prove me wrong. For the most part there is PLENTY of room for error. Even doing the LFG method of doubling up shapes then distributing them you still can get out with a minute to a minute 30 but for the most part anyone is able to do this encounter. Some might take longer to learn than others, this one requires you to think more logically which isn't everyone's strong suit but once it clicks, it clicks. Anyone can do it, everyone learns at a different pace.

                • I do raids a lot and learn fairly fast, this raid people try explaining but it’s difficult to understand the whole setup also it’s very time limited. This raid not many are willing to teach because it was mechanically very challenging even in normal mode. I assume it will take a while till people settle down and feel ease to teach.

                  • You never need to play like the 1% in this Raid. Once I was with a bunch of hardcore players, all of our competent dissecters got teleported. I'm not the best at dissection, but I offered to do it. We got everyone out with 15 seconds left and we didn't need to waste a res getting someone better at dissection out. And no one had a problem with how long I took, they just cared that I got it done.

Every time I've failed this raid it's because someone is playing dumb. Sometimes it's me. Sometimes it's the people around me. If everyone has their head on straight, it's actually not all that bad.

                      if you cant see a knight or ogre in your shadow realm, check the wall. if it shows no shapes it means you have only one which you most likely had already picked up or you gave your shapes away and no one sent you any back
