Literally stood there with two solar grenade two stasis nades and two scout over load and they still regen health through it all and will teleport either fix them or pull them out they make Grandmasters impossible when you have literal gods walking around the map

28 commentairesHere is how you deal with Overloads. - Scout Rifle shots until the Overload Rounds Proc then stun them. - Equip Thermal Overload and Surge Eater Mod and use a Solar or Stasis grenade to stun them. - Most importantly, when they are stunned, SWORD THEM TO HELL! DONT SHOOT THEM, JUST SWORD THEM BEFORE THEY RECOVER! There. That's how you deal with them, they are the easiest things ever.

OK, I noticed 2 stasis nades on one overload will bug him and he'll regen health faster, same for barriers who will regen their shield more often. Too many thermal grenades on one target will bug. Don't know why. Put one at a time on a single target, you'll see everything will go smooth, he'll barely even move.

2 commentairesRemove champions completely.

1 commentaireI just soloed like 3-4 of them in the 1280 lost sector. Stun them with a solar thermal overload grenade and use a sword.
-
One thing to remember, what they did with Overload is no different from what they’ve done with Blackout for the melee attack ads. Why are Overload champions always the teleport type? Why can’t Servitors be Overload and Fallen Captains/Minitors be Barriers? It’s all f&$$@ BS prolonged “challenge” while they control your ammo drop or health regen as well. It’s simply a sign of Bungie’s creativity hit the wall.

16 commentairesAll Champions need to be removed from the game. They aren't challenging. They're just annoying bullet sponges.

24 commentairesHaha I love how these threads all fill with pros who give their advice how to deal with overloads. Listen -blam!-ers. We know how to deal with overloads. The point is they are buggy.
-
Honestly I have rarely encountered these issues at Legend lost sectors, and haven't had many problems with overload with scouting first than lamenting. However, it does limit load out options since AR don't really work. I doubt they will get fixed but good luck

2 commentairesOverloads are a symptom.....not the actual problem. The problem is that NPCs ability use doesn't have a cooldown. They can literally just spam them continuously. So when you ramp it up to the point where you have Overload champions, the game play breaks down. Overload Captains teleport so quickly that they are almost impossible to stun with an AR....even when it has the appropriate mod equipped. The whole paradigm of NPC ability use....and how often they get to use them....needs to be looked at, and re-evaluated.

16 commentairesNever had any problems with killing them. I’ve used scouts and nades up to now. I could understand if you were whining about the teleporting, then I’d be sure man, that’s p annoying. But as far as actually doing damage and killing, soon as they stunned, that mother fcker dead
-
These Champions are indeed bugged. I’ve hit one with multiple grenades AND rounds from an auto rifle and they staggered three times in a row without leaving the staggered animation. Wtf!
-
2 commentaires99 percent of overloads can be comfortably defeated with the standard game mechanics at 0 risk to yourself and no excessive time wasting The only overloads that needs a nerf is the overload minotaurs on glassway grand master. It’s not that you can’t stun them like any overload. It’s that their dps against you is over scaled. Ie them being able to one tap you in a well, with protective light. Which no other boss or champion can do to you even at that difficulty level

3 commentairesI made a detailed post a while ago specifically addressing this exact topic for anyone that was struggling with overload but I’ll summarize. You likely aren’t hitting them with the precise shot because a fixed number of rounds have to be fired in order to charge and fire the overload round. You also have to be constantly shooting or else the shot will reset and you have to charge it again (this includes even a small second). It can take up to a quarter or even a third of your magazine to charge the shot and you can’t let it sit you have to fire it so timing is extremely important.

1 commentaireModifié par ZoniCat : 1/6/2021 7:46:38 AMAgreed. I like champions but overload is just "hmm, moar health". In my opinion, they should be the back-field commanders, buffing their nearby troops. Spamming teleports is stupid, but if they healed themselves and nearby non-champion enemies, they would still be a threat. Just much more fair.

1 commentaireStasis nades are bugged on overloads. Try it with just solar and scout and keep in mind after being staggered there is a cooldown on the stagger. You can see it visible as a glowing effect around them. As soon as the glowing stops they will be able to be staggered again.
-
13 commentairesBecause you were double stunning them. Canceling out the initial stun. Be patient and make sure they are actually stunned

4 commentairesShoot them until they are stagger. Reload your weapon at that point and shoot them some more. I use a scout with overload. My best strategy is to shoot them with the overload weapon. Once they’re staggered, I pull out a heavy and shoot them with it. If they’re not dead, I shoot them with the overload weapon again so they won’t regain there health.

1 commentaireTheir general invincibility is nice in Grandmaster. We have the whole team on surge eater on and the stasis guy holds him in place without damaging him and we clear a room with the other two spamming grenades. Just something to consider that these others probably haven't told you.

5 commentairesJust use divinity

For grenades, never rely on a previous grenade to continue to stun the overload. If you have one person spam Stasis grenades and the other person shoot Scout rounds non-stop while reloading on each stun, they are pretty easy to take down. Another pro tip, if you shoot them with a Barrier round, they are stunned for a second, this let's you easily get a grenade on them without them teleporting away.
-
If you throw lag into the equation they can teleport halfway across the map at will as well. Really fun

Modifié par The Hermit IX : 1/5/2021 3:45:00 PMI ran Perdition legendary last night about a dozen times. My load out was NTTE with anti barrier, Adored and FG. I ran stasis with surge and disruption mod. Grenade or melee and FG overload and barrier champs. I use the pulse for the Hydra. I stopped using scouts and ARs for overload champs seeing the grenade is much more effective on champions as long as you use a heavy that takes them down quickly.

6 commentairesThey dont regen while you're shooting them with an overload scout. Just doesn't happen.
