I’m bored:

Oedipus: hey hon, did I ever tell you I was destined to kill my father and marry my mother!
Jocasta:... no... no you didn’t.
Oedipus: yeah that’s why I left my home town, even killed an old man on the way, but I think it was all phooey. I mean, your not my mother. Plus we had at least two kids so that would be weird!
Jocasta: heh heh, yeaaah... one moment, let me just go to my room.
Oedipus: sure!

One of the best Language Arts reads I’ve had
-
That stuff was never my home, though I did enjoy reading it. I was enthralled with trickster gods like Loki & Coyote, King Arthur & his knights, and stories of elves, Dwarves, dragons, etc. Also, I loved American Myths like John Henry & Paul Bunion!

Never really knew about John Henry until that Disney Short. And I’m glad my dad introduced me to D&Ds existence (never really played... just no time) and the Drizzt do Urden/Dragons of autumn Twilight series’s. One of the best fiction reads ever.

Modifié par xxx : 8/21/2019 10:09:20 AMForgotten Realms & Dragonlance were 2 of my favorite places to visit! Raistlin Majere is still one of my absolute favorite characters and Sturm Brightblade influenced on of my tattoos. As for John Henry, I haven't seen the Disney short on him, but the stories are excellent!
