What about this gun would make me want to use it over any other exotic in the game?
Nightfall Strikes and other activities where you have lots of fast-moving, shielded mobs.
Plus the lack of damage drop off gives the weapon a range that is denied other auto rifles. Its a very good PVE weapon for shield busting and crowd-control.
The screen shake limits its usefulness in PVP, and Bungie stubbornly refuses to address it. I think they feel it will become OP if they do......

It has a bullet drop-off actually. You can shoot at that cabal airplane in the publuc event when it is at its max range and see the damage numbers change as it flies closer.
-
sounds like bungie. a no damage drop off gun has the shakes, AND of course, damage drop off. how fitting for these bum devs.
-
The dropoff begins much closer than that, but you are absolutely correct on that
-
Fighting lion does all of that, and better. Plus infinite ammo. And you can get enemies behind cover in open environments while hard light cannot.

The lion is so good. Totally agree

Not everyone wants to deal with a single shot, bouncing-grenade launcher. And if you're a good pool player, you can still reach enemies behind cover.
