I think they had a pretty deep connection, but I don’t think it was romantic. They respect each other as equals, which is a lot coming from either of them because they both seem pretty aware that they’re currently the best at their respective roles.

I think it's also deeper than that. I think both of them may have opened up about their flaws, about the deep doubts they have, and about their uncertainties. They may have known each other better than anyone, because they're two of a kind. Swaggering, cocky...and absolutely none on those things in the dark.
