Dear guardians,
Let me start by saying that i know it is quite early to ask for feedback about this DLC.
I am however still very interested on what you people think of FORSAKEN so far. I do not own the dlc myself yet, because i wanted to wait and see how it lunches and what the players think of it.
.
This is why i made this poll in the first place! To get an idea of what the community thinks about FORSAKEN so far.
The result can really help me deciding if i should buy, wait or never touch this DLC.
I have been around since destiny 1. I have had my best times guiding people through raids (It is my favorite thing to do in both destiny games). Bought every dlc since day one and loved The Taken King.
Forsaken is the first dlc i have not played since day one because of the recent disappointments.
If my poll does not represent your opinion well enough, you are welcome to leave your feedback in the comments. I am very interested to read all of it!
A massive thanks in advance!

1 commentaireI love it with the exception of them reskinning weapons and enemies. the last boss in the story was a servitor with flesh on it come on now....

I just hope we don’t have another taken king situation where there’s no point of playing for the entire year, I kinda wish there was more armor but I think the current sets look nice

1 commentaireCan’t qualify it with a single answer. The story is good, the new Strikes absolutely awesome and all the new locations, public events, bounties etc. Fun. The amount of stuff to do very solid. I enjoy both PvP and PvE so no problems with crossover quests. Having said that, the random perk system is an abomination unto Nuggan. The weapons are useable, but frustrating. I bet they put in the masterwork requirement in the last moment, because they realized everybody would just be infusing their Y1 weapons otherwise. But if the weapons are frustrating, the armor is hell itself. I distinctly remember the weapon-boosting mods for the armor were made obsolete, because it made no sense to have weapon related mods on the armor, right? Is it why all the armor perks are about boosting very specific weapons? Not only we have to swap all the gear whenever we do a slightest change in our armament, but the generated perks make no sense more often than not. If I get an armor with one useful perk I’m happy. Again, I’d just wear Y1 armor if I could infuse it. I’d rate it: 8/10 for contents 3/10 for multiplayer mechanics (horrible LFG, game modes which require teamwork but give no match making support etc.) Don’t get me started on Blind Well, which apparently cannot be done without cheating (bringing more than 3 players) 0/10 for the RNG gear - both for the implementation which doesn’t seem to include any intelligent algorithm and the mechanics which prevent us from infusing the weapons we like (whether new or old). I’m in a relatively large guild and did all pve and some PvP contents before Forsaken. So few people play this, I cannot complete weekly guild bounties from Hawthorne, never mind the More challenging contents. I’ve never thought Forsaken would be what makes people leave.

1 commentaireThe dlc is the best thing that has happened in destiny 1 and 2. It’s phenomenal definitely worth the price

By and large, an excellent effort. Great new weapons system, Gambit is awesome, Tangled Shore is cool, the Scorn make great new baddies, and I really like the differing nature of the baron boss fights. I even approve of making infusion something you have to think about before you actually do. Haven't totally completed it, but I have seen a few weak points, most of them minor in nature. 1. Masterwork cores should be either more plentiful, or infusion should require fewer of them. 2. Players are used to things costing the same thing with each purchase, so there needs to be a better system in place for warning them that Spider's prices increase exponentially. Even something as simple as having the price numbers turn yellow at x2 and x4, then red at x8 and beyond. 3.
Cayde's last words should have been "How's your sister?" The added-on death scene was messing with perfection, just the way Men in Black 2 destroyed the very satisfying ending MiB1 delivered. Firslly, it was the perfect way to go out defiantly. Secondly, it plays again into the greatest weakness in Destiny's cutscenes, since our Guardian is there but silent. And third, since an Exo's brain is presumably a computer, it would make sense that the only way to kill an Exo is to destroy its brain. Unless you really are planning on there being a Cayde-7."
It's definitely a huge step up from the past year of Destiny. I've actually had a blast playing Gambit and Crucible for a change (the changes to PvP in general feel great), and I appreciate the grind that's returned in PvE. Does it fix every problem? No. But, it addresses a lot of the core problems well enough that I don't have many scruples about having bought it. It was definitely the big test moment for Bungie, and they seem to have actually pulled it off, against all expectations. Certainly if this were the quality that had been put out from the get-go and for the first two DLCs, I don't think we'd need to be asking if Forsaken was "worth it"

This is the bare-ass minimum that Destiny 2 SHOULD have launched with. It is absolutely unacceptable as a 3rd expansion.

1 commentaireDidn’t buy, and from what I’ve read in the last 2 TWABs, and seen in forums, I will not buy it.

1 commentaireGreat DLC. I skipped most of the first year of Destiny 2 but I can't stop playing Forsaken. I played 12 hours yesterday and didn't get bored, probably put another 12 in today lol. Theres a few design choices I disagree with but not significant enough to make it a glaring issue for me.

3 commentairesAll I can say is it’s 20 steps closer than the taken king on what destiny should have been. It’s that good man. Just fix a few issues and it’s there man/ woman
