Anyone else getting random piles of 50+ Orbs?!?
So I was farming a lost sector for Resonate Stems, and after getting a kill like 100 orbs just fly out of the bodies. Is this a new thing or am I just behind? Note: both power weapons used to kill enemies were masterworked. Masterwork bug maybe? Idk but it was pretty cool lol

Ive had this bug occur since Curse of osiris but it seems more common since the patch. It used to happen once a week (keep in mind, i play a lot) and it happened twice tonight.

10 commentairesAny void hunters having energy weapons make people explode purple? I was using a couple different guns yesterday like Polaris Lance and the dead orbit old school revolver, precision kills made the enemy explode into a void element twice. That's once on a kinetic and once on the Polaris Lance. The same way the enemies explode when you tether and they blow up after taking damage.

Think it has something to do with killing multiple enemies with Masterworks weapons, and the code gets mixed up or doesn't catch up with itself or something. Not too sure, but it happened to me when the first Faction Rally with the faction-obtained catalysts. I was on Mercury doing a lost sector trying to get cosmology kills for the Graviton catalyst. I would shoot all the heads off of the Vex goblins in the ENTIRE lost sector, which makes them chase after you. By the time i got to the end of the lost sector, there were at least 40 vex goblins chasing me. I killed one with the Graviton, and "BOOM, BOOM, BOOM"...cosmology chain reaction lit them all up. It was pretty cool. Then I left the lost sector, and the first thing i killed when i got out was that solar shielded centurion. He was floating in the air shooting that Void cannon at me, and BOOM! It started raining orbs! Probably 30-40 orbs.

Happened once in PvP with Silicone Neuroma, that was so unfair giving myself 3 free supers.

Happened in Spire last night. Phase 2. Someone pooped arcstrider to stay alive and I see 30-40 orbs just erupt out of a yellow bar. Wish I had video lol

Yip. Dunno why it happens but I love it. I've had it happen mostly with grenade kills. Chuck an arc bolt and see enemies explode into a ton of orbs. I hope it stays.

Happened to me shortly after the Mars dlc on PS4. I was getting my masterwork kills with the colony on mars. I was heading into the Rasputin area on the left side of the map. There was a bunch of hive, so I unleashed my whole colony magazine and about 30 orbs popped out.

Same happened to me, Crimson as soon as I got the catalyst. I think it was on Titan if I don't recall? - Public Event, the Ritual. was pretty cool though. was not 50, though, but it was a substantial amount for the Crit Kill.

Yes it is a glitch that if you kill to quickly with any masterworked weapon. It adds to a pool (sort of) then when it's calmed down, next kill unloads that pool of orbs. Got 4 supers from a dreg once :L

It's on ps4 too. It was funny watching them all roll down the hill during an EP.

I got 10 from a dreg when i didnt get a double kill. Walked in. Kill one dreg. 10 orbs.

Somehow I don't think Bungie intended this, but I've seen it happen a couple times.

I did that with one pulse grenade. 15 orbs in total.

Had a few nades result in anything between 5 & 20 orbs during patrols. Well handy 😉

3 commentairesIt's a display bug. It doesn't actually give you a buttload of orbs it just looks like it. I usually get it from killing enemies with guns when they are under the effect of a grenade.

I've had this happen when using Wardcliff Coil masterworked. At first I only had it with kills using the weapon itself but eventually it happened while using another weapon with it equipped at the same time. It's very odd, among other strange things happening with my Hunter that my Warlock and Titan don't duplciate. I've also started generating orbs of light on my Hunter from ability kills like Smoke Grenades and Grenades without a tether being active...
