Sigh... There seems to be some misconception regarding exotics. Exotics were meant to help out in pve... Which is what this game was supposed to be centered around. Now with bungholes crappy coding that glitches out with any random variable added to it, and unnecessary weapon balancing that happened with pvp, something that was supposed to be a minor thing in this game (pvp) completely screwed it over. Now exotics had to be balanced to be around legendary level instead of you know...exotic... All for the sake of balancing all weapons for pvp so people don't cry that their op, (even though they cried anyway) ... In what was supposed to be a pve centered game...sigh... 😐😑😥😦😧😶😞😒😗😖😔🙍

Hold the phone. You hold that phone right now! Have you even used Queenbreaker's Bow? It is literally the same wire-rifle that the vandals use! That to me is awesome! Ever since I played Destiny from day 1, I always thought "Man, it would totally wizard if I could use some of the enemies weapons!" ...and lo and behold, they release the Prison exotics and with it the Lord of Wolves, Queenbreaker's Bow and Dreg's Promise. Weapons that are identical (not so much with Wolfy) to those that the enemies use. Many of the exotics are nice not because they are powerful (many are not) or because they clear mobs well. They like them because they look neat, sound nice or have a certain ring to them that is fun to use.

funny enough I use all the exotics you labelled trashy. Just because you dont use them doesn't make them bad. they all have the role that they fit into.

truth a trashy exotic? it's literally the only exotic I ever use now in crucible. Still the best PvP heavy in my opinion.

Don't confuse a weapon being "situational" with the weapon being "trash". All those weapons you are raving about being the "only useful ones' in the WoTM raid...would have been USELESS in last years Kingsfall raid. When the exotics most people were using were Touch of Malice and Black Spindle. (I was an oddball who used a sword during the Darkness phase of the Oryx fight to clear away adds.) Most of the weapons that you're declaring as "trash'---while they might not be usefull in the current raid....can be VERY useful in other parts of the game. 1. I'm getting a LOT of use out of the new exotic MGs doing the new Elite Strike bounties. 2. Lord of Wolves is a DEVASTATING weapon when fighting in the close confines of Prison/Challenge of Elders. 3. QBB is like NLB.....a very effective (and annoying) PvP weapon in the hands of a good sniper. 4. Young Wolve's Howl is a better fit for my play style than is Raze Lighter. So each one of my characters has one equipped right now. 5. The only thing wrong with Suros Regime, Hard Light, and most of the game's other exotic auto rifles is that Bungie BROKE auto rifles in Year One, trying to protect the Crucible...and they've never been the same since. Suros Regime use to be a HOLY TERROR that dominated both PVP and PVE. At one point it had more kills in PVP by ITSELF...than all other auto rifles combined. In a meta DOMINATED by ARs. 6. Truth. By far the best PVP rocket launcher in the game. Many PVP players don't use exotic primaries any more so that they can reserve their exotic slot for Truth. 7. Boltcaster. Best PVP exotic sword in the game. EXTREMELY deadly in the hands of someone cunning enough to exploit its ability to execute both ranged and close attacks. There are lots of broken, useless exotics out there for sure (Astrocyte Verse. Alchemist Raiments. just about every exotic sniper not called Black Spindle or Ice Breaker) But the ones you've listed (except for Dreg's Promise) arent' among them.

All the unused exotics at the moment are sitting in the 2 hard basket. In regards to PvP and the thorn, red death, Vex, Pocket infinity (ye remember that fusion rifle)... These weapons are all complete junk and its all because its to hard to bungo to work them back into the game. Some of the most sort after weapons in year 1 are just trash now and yes some people will say "M8 they r from yr 1 derr its yr 3 now m8" which is a horrible argument, the only weapons above which that argument may be valid for is the vex because it cant drop at the current light level but even so its unusable in normal PvP as well.
