I think we can all agree that bungie had progressed into the micro transactions pretty well during taken king. With their introduction of emotes from the Evervese Trading company. When they took away our 3 chances to get cosmetic enhancements for our gear though sterling treasures, there was some compliancy and we thought what ever most of us already got the gear from those boxes anyway, and they were only good for getting chroma which we all wanted to look good right? Then Rise of Iron was released and those sterling treasures turned into radiant treasures that were only obtainable once per week. I'm sure during the first we all of us were fine with that until we started level higher and higher in the iron record book, we began to see that destiny was beguiling us with cool armor to make micro transactions to get them. Each armor piece required silver and the only way to get silver is to open radiant treasures and even then those of us who can't buy from Tes Everse couldn't get anymore then that one we were able to get and that seemed unfair, and sure I understand that destiny ornaments don't enhance your gameplay or anything but they sure as hell make you look good patrolling and fighting though crucible. I had one point this week was able to get my rise of iron record book to rank 22 and I was jubilant because I believed that I was going to get the ornaments I need to have my armor look extravagant. I was sadly mistaken and after weeks of grinding that record book I was rewarded a crappy shotgun, a emblem, shaded, armors, and ONE ornament. This is when I realized that bungie has taken their sense of RPGs and bought into the idea of cosmetic belong in micro transactions not in the grind.
