I had my first experience with Sleep Paralysis.

Let me start off with, never in my life have i been more terrified than that. I was giving my girlfriend a backrub while going to sleep, it has become a habit, i rub her back she falls asleep and I shortly after. I started to drift off when i hear a noise(like a thump) from the walk in closet a few feet from in front of the bed. The noise made me open my eyes, at first i wasnt aware of being unable to move, i was just lying there with my eyes open. But then as dark as it was i began to get a creepy sensation, like i was being watched. I then began to focus on the closet, when i saw what i saw chills ran through my body. It looked like a black shaded figure sitting on a chair in the closet just looking straight into my eyes. Not like the typical red eyes glowing through the dark in scary movies, but just normal eyes where there was just enough light to see the whites in its eyes. I just stared at it trying to think it was my mind playing tricks on me, maybe like a jacket rested on the chair made it appear as something else in the dark. I then tried to close my eyes and roll over. Thats when i realised i couldnt move. I started to panick, breathing heavy, trying to make some kind of noise to wake up my girlfriend but my mouth wouldnt open and i just couldnt get loud enough. Then it stood up. It appeared as if it was slowly walking towards me but it never seemed like it actually made it to bed(hard to explain). I was trying so hard to get up, to yell, to move, but nothing. The figure stopped moving at some point and just watched me for what felt like hours, then it squatted down and looked as if it had crawled underneath the bed, and at that point i was able to move again(almost like it was controlling me not being able to move?) i immediately sat up, drenched in sweat, jumped out of the bed and turned the lights on which woke up my girlfriend. I explained to her what happened, we checked under the bed, in the closet, but nothing. I am officially freaked out, afraid of the dark, and dont look forward to sleeping again. This has completely changed my views towards the supernatural. I am 100% sure i saw something/ experienced something last night, and honestly i dont know if i will survive. It was sinister and it wanted me, i could sense it. I just needed to tell people, most of you dont care but to the few that do, id appreciate any info/experience you have to give. Edit: Night #2 was much better. Granted i took 2 Tranquinol pills and 5ml of Benadryl, so i was too dead to wake up for anything. Not taking any chances lol. Night #3 Here we go. Night #3 was uneventful. I have come to the conclusion that drugs help. Will attempt tonight without any drugs.

  • I've experienced this for a very long time and am now convinced it's deeper then just "sleep paralysis". What lead me to this view is... I'm very interested in spirits and ghost and often ghost hunt local hot spots. I took my girlfriend at the time with me and got some very compelling evps. Later that night while sleeping it started to happen. I could hear these voices speaking very scary things and every time I tried to fight to wake up I kept being pulled back into the state of paralysis (a terrifying feeling) when I could open my for brief seconds I would see a red, a black, and a white face directly over me. When I did finally fight through to wake up I look over to see my girlfriend sitting up pale white absolutely terrified. She said she felt like she was being held down by something that was saying very violent things she kept trying to open her eyes and when she did she saw a red, black and white face over her. Then we heard a loud bang and saw a hand run down the curtains. She has never had a history with sleep paralysis before or since. I've done a lot of research on sleep paralysis and have yet to find a case of two people having the exact experience at the exact time. I know believe that in that state it's like peaking the door between this world and the next. Since then when it happens I try my best to stay calm, which is very difficult, and instead of fighting it ley myself go with it and the things I've experienced while in the state have changed my life for ever. I no longer ask if there is something after this life because I am absolutely convinced. Best of luck to you.
