Ahamkara story quest

Hello everyone! I had this crazy ideia for the story of destiny. A serie of missions to search and kill one ahamkara to get parts of its body to build one primary legendary weapon at choice ( auto rifle, scout rifle, pulse rifle or hand cannon) in order to use that same weapon to kill a specific boss in the same quest line. I dont know if this will be accepted by guardians but it would be a great addiction to the game story. Thank you every one. Bump if you like please!

Reddit Source I came across this a while ago and wanted to bring it back freshly to everyone, since I haven't seen it yet within this thread. Could it be, that even after their "extinction" that the Ahamkara are sudtly enfluencing Guardians that wear their armor? For example the follow below are all the Ahamkara gear we know of and/or related to: Skull of Dire Ahamkara: Reality is the finest flesh, oh bearer mine. And are you not…hungry? Young Ahamkara's Spine: Give me your arm, oh bearer mine. Let me help you fill the world with teeth. Voidfang Vestments: YOU WILL DREAM OF TEETH AND NOTHING ELSE" - scratched behind a buckle Claws of Ahamkara : Look at all this life, oh bearer mine. There is so much left to burn... The phrases "oh bearer mine" are always repeated and referenced when it comes to these items, but why? There is correlation between these and the Ghost Fragment that depicts the conversation between a Warlock and Hunter who, again as I said before, is obsessed with the bone itself and acting in not a fashion that Warlocks typically do. We also can speculate that Warlocks were the ones that were tasked with going out and hunt down these creatures from the words spoken in the Fragment itself as well. Getting to my point; I whole heartily believe that the Ahamkara exist still. Whether or not it's within the Sol System, who knows. But, to me, the exist. Not through the subconscious of their bones or telepathically communication with the Guardians that wear their bones still. But these pieces of Ahamkara bones clearly have a telepathic link to their users. With the dialogue given on each of these pieces of armor, we see the Ahamkara communication with the user. Give me your arm, oh bearer mine, let me help you fill the world with teeth.. Does that not tell you that the Ahamkara is bargaining with the Guardian Hunter? To me, there's a mutual bond that's spoken there. At least to me. Thoughts?

    • Perhaps some survived and repopulated. Maybe in a dlc we end up taming one and riding it around (not really). But still, I think it's plausible a few survived. I liked the idea of being able to create our choice of exotic weapon. But then again, I wouldn't really want to kill one, and instead want it to learn (me being a warlock and all).

      • A mission to search for them but not to kill them but to search for knowledge and gain power for all.

            • Nice idea, be nice to see ahamkara's come into destinys quest line rather than a grimoire card.

                Ghost Fragement: Legends 3
The Great Ahamkara Hunt After great deliberation it was determined that the Ahamkara be made extinct. It was not an easy decision. Power had been obtained from the bargains, and the City needed power. Knowledge had been gleaned, and the Ahamkara knew answers to questions no one had known to ask. But the price was too high. And no edict or forbearance seemed to stop Guardians from seeking them out, driven by hope, or vengeance, or despair. The call had to be silenced. So the Great Hunt did its work. And thus the Ahamkara were made extinct, their call silenced, their solipsistic flatteries erased, their great design - if it ever existed - broken. Of this you can be assured, oh reader mine.
Now who's perspective is this card being told from? As Byf stated, it ends with the same reading/ending of the "Oh bearer mine." Why do we not see any actual bones of them? Where are they? Edit: I think they are actually hiding. Their power was much more than what we could comprehend, like I said earlier. I really think they could easily be able to hide themselves from us in the sense that they're present, but they're making us believe that they aren't. There's another Grimoire that details a conversation between a Warlock and a Hunter that ends with the Warlock claiming that the Hunter cannot/could not bring down an Ahamkara. Why? The Warlocks know way more, from books and studies, than a Hunter would right? The Hunter goes off to prove a point. And there's also the artifact of the Ahamkara Scale that states something along the lines of: "Ha, Warlock thought I couldn't do it!" But really? Could a single Hunter really bring down a mystical creature of such power by themselves? Or, could it been the exact opposite of what we think? Could it be that the Ahamkara itself tricked or altered the thought process of the Hunter to believe that it killed the Ahamkara? These are all just thoughts and theories that continue to float around in my head, none of which are true. In the end, they're all just speculation. No arguing or claiming anyone is false. We're all here to learn as much as we can with what we're given. Edit #2: I apologize for typos. Work keyboard sucks compared to mine at home. XP

                • Being able to chose which kind of weapon would be crafted is a great idea! I would love to play through a quest line that has us hunting down Wish Dragon on Europa. But here's a twist, what if the Wish Dragon were to offer something else? Perhaps a piece of armor? We would have essentially 3 characters to play through said quest line so the variations would work in our benefit! Kill the Wish Dragon = craft a weapon. Spare the Wish Dragon = obtain armor.
