Finished Uncharted 4

I finally finished this game. I'm not sure what to do with my life now. Years of waiting and a year and 2 months (roughly) of delays, and the wait was worth it. It really was. This game is truly a masterpiece and worthy of ANYONE'S attention. The only issue would be if you have played the others before The gameplay is the best the series has seen. The grapple hook makes for really cool combat variations and different ways to interact with your environment. The melee is the best as well. It's presented so well it's almost as if it was scripted from a trailer! That's how good it is! It's so satisfying. The way the characters move and interact with the environment during fistfights is done so well too. I'd go into detail but I wanna keep this short. The gunplay is the best as well. I love the moving reticle which makes it a bit harder to shoot well. There's even branching dialogue!! It's not exactly game changing as say, Mass Effect or the Witcher 3, or Dragon Age but it adds variation which is needed in this franchise. It makes even cutscenes interactive to match the gameplay! This whole game is the most in depth and interactive Uncharted ever. There's even vehicles and the driving controls are awesome! The areas are so open it feels as if it's open world sometimes. My only issue with the gameplay of the game as a whole is the puzzles. The puzzles are the easiest of the series, or maybe it might just be me after I played all the Uncharted's and it seems like these puzzles weren't much of a challenge. There were some that were harder than others but I wanted more of a challenge, but again it's just me. I'm not even much of a puzzle guy to be honest but when I have to do puzzles, I want them to make me think more at least. It's obvious that ND decided to focus more on the gun fights instead and it shows. For some reason it feels like the gunfights are more difficult. I can't put my finger on why though. The graphics are AMAZING. IT's unfortunate that it runs at 30fps but Naughty Dog would've had to delay it even more to optimize it for that (so I've heard anyway, or it was some article. I can't remember, it was a long while ago). Regardless, it's one of the best looking games on consoles and probably is THE best looking console game alongside The Order 1886. If I judged games on graphics alone this game would be a 10/10 The voice acting is the best as well. Naughty Dog is known for having top of the line voice acting and Nolan North (my favorite voice actor) delivers once again on his role of Nathan Drake and even TROY BAKER (my second favorite voice actor)!!! This is just voice actor heaven right here. Truly amazing voice acting. Sully, Elena, Rafe, Nadine, everyone had top notch voice acting. Character models look the best they have too. The motion capture works it's amazing magic in this game and it shows. The story is one of the best as well. I'd say it's narrative is as good as Uncharted 2 (the fan favorite) if not better. However the story isn't exactly as "magical" as Shambala in Uncharted 2 or Iram of The Pillars in Uncharted 3. Hell, it doesn't even have something as magical as a curse like in Uncharted 1. Does that make it worse than the others? Absolutely not. This is the most real Uncharted ever and in those others there wasn't exactly an explanation as to why that curse from U1 was there or how Shambala even exists, same goes for Iram of the Pillars. The game focuses on a more personal story due to Nate's brother coming back into his life after he tries to leave his dangerous treasure hunting life behind to settle with his wife Elena causing him to be thrust back into the treasure hunting scene once more for the sake of his brother and his life. > This game has more emotion than the others. More passion. The characters are developed the best they've been and the most likable. I was afraid Sam would be a forgettable character since they're introducing him in the LAST Uncharted game but I loved Sam! He was awesome! Uncharted 4 made me laugh the most out of all the others. I can't express the feels I got from this one and the ending....oh god the ending. It was perfect for this franchise. Heartwarming and it doesn't leave anything unanswered. The epilogue just made me cry. It did. I know I'm not the only one. It provides all the closure any Uncharted fan would need. Even the multiplayer is decent. I unfortunately haven't played the previous multiplayers for Uncharted because I was satisfied with it's story and had no desire but I tried this out in the beta and it wasn't bad. It adds a supernatural twist to Uncharted multiplayer with the special abilities, is overall fun and I wasn't bad at it, although it can be rage inducing if you hate one hit kills. That grapple hook is the bane of my existence in pvp and I don't understand why it's in pvp and not the campaign with it's one hit melee ability. It feels like it was added just to give noobs a cheap way to get kills with no skill. Either way, you can get a few more hours out of the game with it's multiplayer if you just want some fun This game has made it to my list of best games I've ever played, along with The Last of Us, The Witcher 3, Metal Gear Solid (1, 3, and 4 all take up one spot on my list), Skyrim, Mass Effect, Halo, Bioshock, and maybe a few others once they come to mind. Either way you guys get what I mean. For me this game is a 10/10, easily a GOTY contender AND a system seller. As I said earlier this would more likely be a 9/10 if you haven't played the others due ot references and lack of attachment to characters. Regardless, BUY THIS GAME!!! It's worth every -blam!-ing penny. I promise. This game is better than the new Tomb Raiders too. Well, Tomb Raider 2013 anyway. I still have to get ROTTR but I'll get around to that later. I still have a ton of games to go through right now. I want to replay this game already. I did it on normal, now it's time for hard mode. I want to see that "CHARTED!" Trophy again. This'll be the last time I do so. Naughty Dog does it again everyone. They don't disappoint EDIT: Clearly not playing the others hinders people's experiences with this game more than I thought. I'd say for newcomers it'll be a challenge to understand what makes Uncharted great but might come out as an 8/10 roughly. but PLEASE for the sake of this game play all the others beforehand. You're just gonna hurt your experience
