The reason Hammer Of Sol will never get nerfed...

Hey folks, if you pay attention at all, the number of super kills by Sunbreaker is very similar to Bladedancer and Stormcaller, maybe even Gunslinger. In Crucible a well-skilled Sunbreaker can easily get 1 or 2 kills... 3 or 4 is almost always the max... 5 or more is very rare and more often because the enemy team were morons. For that fact alone, all your whines will never nerf the Sunbreaker's damage resistance nor their regen recovery. Not being able to kill them with whatever tactics you use on other subclasses is 100% irrelevant. This is NOT about range... NOT about melee... NOT about how many hammers. I could mention tank, but many of you will whine some more... but I'll say it anyway since your tears are nice today. Fact... Bladedancer avoids dying ALL the time using their agility, blink, regen, and invisibility. There is no reason in the world to argue that a Titan should not be able to avoid dying using their tank, which by the way is only 5% more. Finally, year 1 was the worst for all Titans. They now have a legit multi-kill super, which many have had since day 1. Any nerf would kill the subclass in pvp and no longer make it on par with other subclasses. The normal subclass play is also very bad. This is a super driven subclass. Bungie won't nerf it, and they know if they do 1/3 of their population would drastically quit. The bottom line is kills with the super. If, on average, Sunbreakers are doing the same as Stormcallers and Bladedancers there is no reason to nerf them. If you start the debate about melee and range, let's not forget who had the crappiest one-shot melee super in year one, while Voidwalker dominated from afar with no risk. People are just spinning the truth so they can win. Sorry folks... here's a tissue for those tears. EDIT / FINAL THOUGHTS: I guess for some, we'll have to agree to disagree. For many, thanks for the kind words and support. I'm out of this debate. All we can do is hope Bungie doesn't succumb to the cries of casuals afraid to adapt. I firmly believe that the average Sunbreaker isn't dominating in super kills as many think. I understand frustration when you can't kill someone, but you also have to put the shoe on the other foot... all subclasses can avoid death using their unique abilities... damn you shade step! This just so happens to be a damage reduction ability that people are not used to. Titans... stay strong.

 • It's getting nerfed. And it needs it. Sorry to rain on your parade. However, I hope they do only these two things to keep the class a strong PvP option: 1- reduce hammer damage from 350 to 200. This will make other supers able to fight a sunbreaker, and actually create a tactical option to choose between forge master and sun charge. (Right now it's a no brainer, pick forge master) 2- reduce damage reduction from 55 to 50%. There you go. It's fixed and the class is still strong.
