I haven't seen a threat about shadestep yet, so I was wondering if somebody found it a bit lackluster or not.
I managed to get a Graviton forfeit out of an exotic helmet engram, but I have yet to find out if shadestep really adds something to your play.
So what do you guys think? Underpowered or not?
Edit: I love all your reactions! Shows that the opinions about shadestep are pretty divided. I personally ended up loving shadestep. It completely desorients people in the crucible and in pve it is really useful during certain strikes.

I think its great. In situations where I would usually kill a guy and then get taken out by his friend I can now survive! Kill shade step. With a shotty it can be pretty devastating as well. The only thing is that sometimes it almost seems as if my shotgun shots will do no damage for a short period after shade step ends but idk. I probably just need more practice with it to make it work 100% of the time.

1 commentaireShadestep is useful for getting out of the line of fire and closing the gap with enemies without taking heavy damage in the process.
-
Only thing I like it for I'd dodging that purple crap when you kill a shrieker.
-
Shadestep real purpose is to confuse all homing stuff, effect best seen from hobgoblin orb and valus missile
-
I really think they should buff range and speed a little bit, i kept dying when dodging
-
Shad step is a pretty cool idea and it seems like it's effective in use, but it just feels so god damn slow when you do it.

I came to say that there was a thread just like this 10 days ago or so...
turns out this is that same one
30 commentairesShade step is a useless perk. Anyone who uses it in PVE and PVP really have no idea what they're doing. To the people saying "shade step shotgun" lol you're fools. It's easily countered by jumping which in turn will confuse the stupid shade step shot gunner. That perk is just a gimmick. I know what I'm talking about.

Sorry it's not the get out of death free button that blink used to be
-
1 commentaireThe people ridiculing others for using and saying that it's useless are a bunch of jokes. So what if you can't use it? Some people are really good with shadestep.
-
2 commentairesIf it's useless then why has it saved me hundreds of times from bosses like Alak hul and saved me from enemy sniper fire because shade step is underpowered huh. Nah I would use shade step only then not use anything else
-
It's meh.

Love shade step. With all of the good things about golden gun (better incendiary grenade and increased throwing knife AA) I still want to use nightstalker. As long as they give me quiver that is...
-
2 commentairesShade step sidearm. Got some clips recorded of me doing it in Iron Banner and some of them are pretty nice plays.
-
Taken hobgoblin blasts or pretty much anything with a travel time is easily avoidable.
-
Ever ran straight at someone in PVP with your sword, shadestepping through their bullets, and then slashing them in half? Super fun to do.

2 commentairesits a pvp movement mostly and its works in wonderful ways to juke out in pvp n get the kill or dodging supers at times
-
I find it to be lackluster, but I find Keen Scout to be amazing. So I'm fine with it.
-
I've shadestepped 3 golden shots before from one guy then almost killed him... got the assist. 😐 would've been the best play ever if my teamates didn't exist.
-
Shadestep is great in Crucible. It can get you out of troublesome situations.
-
Not a fan. Seems kind of pointless in a high agility class. You can accomplish the same thing without the vulnerability just by strafing or jumping.
