I know there are a million posts and people sending me messages and calling me an idiot, liar blah blah blah.
End of the day I didn't offer mak a job told him of an opportunity I may have but have also offered to use my customer contacts for a potential job near him. This is not a lie and have and will share my LinkedIn profile if need be. End of the day the guy posted as a way to vent because to be quite honest it's easier to post this on the Internet then talk about this with people you see face to face every day.
I for one have been hit with horrible times and know what it takes to overcome that. I offered to not only help find work but also give advice on interviewing and resumes. This type of advice especially from a successful hiring manager in his industry is not stuff you will see offered without compensation or a long standing relationship.
I do not owe anyone on here and do not appreciate the negativity of some in this thread toward me as if I am of bad character.
If you were smart you may even send me a resume or ask career or other advice.

No as a matter of fact I'm polishing his resume and giving him a lot of potential job leads. Then probably meeting next week when my schedule allows.

His employer bought equipment that my company services, much like every company in the world does. It is called a service contract my district has over 15,000 contracts in the two states. Do I know his boss on a first name basis, nope. Do I know anyone at his old employer not on a first name basis. Do I need the money hardly. As a matter of fact I recommend he get rid of the fund me bullshit because he should pay for his own Xbox after a few months of paychecks. It is just dumb luck I know where he worked, I know where he works now because I pay for a different landscaping company. I also find it crazy that you come after me. If you weren't so biased in your judgement maybe we could have a rational conversation where you realize not everyone on this earth is a giant asshole and people will actually help others. Now your statement about me offering a job I did not offer just stated I may have something coming up. Now with his resume does his experience fit, not for what I am hiring but skills for an apprenticeship sure. I don't employ idiots or slackers and I will not stick my neck out for someone to a friend unless I can stand by that.

He has a 7 dollar an hour feed the family job, ask the people who were willing to donate to get him a console. I'm not donating matter of fact think it's a stupid idea, because priorities now if he needed food I would put him in touch with a local organization. But long story short if the guy can't get a job there may be a reason for it, so that's where I stepped in. Longest over ever been unemployed was 19 days after a layoff and that was because I took my family on vacation. I know the job market, how to get around career websites and how to network. So rather th an hear another sob story of a family going poor kids not being able to eat in my community I'll help him get a career.

No he sold his console to get his kids presents then vented on here. People are mad because other setup a fund me account. I could give a crap and im not sure why you think I am orchestrating this. If I need 250 dollars that bad I would sell what's in the corner of my garage.

I greatly appreciate the fact that you would offer him a possibility at a better job. I find it very odd that anyone would see that as negative or try to put you down in any way. I can appreciate how selfless you are and I wish there were more people like you out there.

I am really ashamed at some of the things I have seen and read... But this more than anything is sickening.
