Throughout the forums and in game I have heard a lot of banter about how there needs to be a raid matchmaking system.
I think this is foolish. If you need a raid matchmaking system use the forums or any of the plethora of gaming and other sites that offer it(there's literally dozens, just google "VoG raid group [insert console here]")
Now I will look at what the current matchmaking system is like for strikes. The game searches for people in you relative skill level and throws you together. we've all had the people who quit out immediately[although I suspect this is because nobody wants to spend the time on vallus], but even worse is the person who stays and then for the next 10 minutes serves no other purpose than being a portable shield generator[through revives.] There are many problems with skill level in raid groupings as it is. on hard one weak link can stop your raid group from progressing through the stages. If matchmaking was introduced there would be no telling what the dreg's would roll out. also I foresee the flood of level 24s who can't beat the raid and are to impatient to get to 26. So even if there was matchmaking most groups probably wouldn't make it to/ or past the templar.
I do not include aspects of PvP matchmaking as pvp levels have no effect on gameplay and I strongly believe in the separation of PVP and PvE.
I hope this can open the eyes of some people begging for raidfinder in Destiny. Stick to the forums or stop being lazy and find a group on reddit, ign, etc.

4 commentairesWhy don't they just make an in-game LFG system? For example a device in the tower, you choose activity- VOG-normal for example, you see people who are looking for people or people who are LFG, you can add a description I.E... I have mic I'm experiences etc.. Much easier than going all the way to this website to Find people

25 commentairesModifié par Some Black Guy : 10/17/2014 6:34:34 PMDo you think EVERY SINGLE PERSON THAT BOUGHT THE GAME knows about these websites? Obviously not, and they never will. They might not have friends with their console, game, or friends who even know about these damn websites. Raid matchmaking is going to come, whether people like it or not, and it's going to do nothing but benefit the community. WE ALREADY PLAY WITH RANDOMS via forums/websites, so matchmaking with randoms is no different. Who cares if they don't have a mic? Boot them. They will most likely have that option. People want raid matchmaking, because it would literally help out the tens of thousands, if not more, players who cannot even attempt the raid, due to having no friends with the game and having no website knowledge. NOT EVERYONE is going to automatically Google "Destiny forums" and realize "Oh, hey look, I can group up with people here." It is not that easy for a lot of people to even think of that existing. They can have matchmaking for level 26+ so that way, people don't try to get carried or slow down others lol. If you don't want matchmaking, then don't use it. Simply use the forums/websites when they implement matchmaking into the game. The people that actually want to raid with others and help them out, will gladly use matchmaking and not even care about it. The raid isn't even hard, so you wouldn't lose anything by having that, except a little bit of time for the newcomers. Ah, well, you're a gamer, so act like it. Help people, don't exclude them from playing a part of the game.

6 commentairesThe answer to raid match making = forum match making Well, that seems to Work. I've seen lots of people being forum match made into the last check point. :: Shruggs:: still feel bad for players who don't even know the app, and forum even exist. Seen a customer raging at a game stop clerk because the game was stupid he said. He didn't understand how to even get into the raid. Didn't know he needed a full team. Poor clerk was overwhelmed . It isn't like he made the game. I saved the guy some trouble and pointed him to the app. Then he had an epiphany. I think he kept the game. Or...returned it after seeing what the communities like here.
