Thorn needs 500 PVP kills with void damage?! and lose points for dying? are you serious?
I bought this game to play a co-op shooter with my friends not be accosted by a bunch of 13 year olds that just discovered how to swear. Why are you forcing me into the crucible to complete this bounty. Up till now I have been having a great time playing this game and gaining gear and rep. Then this crap happens. I don't even have a decent weapon that causes void damage, and my class doesn't even have void damage. Change this freaking bounty for God sake, and stop forcing me to play with COD douchbags, teenagers, and mountain dew addicts

Beat it within 3 hours not that bad and felt rewarding. And I don't like PvP that much!!

There's no voice chat in crucible and you and your friends can party chat even if there was. I see the other side of this (the void damage availability) to be your only real issue, but that can be remedied by getting a void fusion rifle or launcher. Also, its not mandatory, just another task they want you to do, you could always say "screw it" and drop the quest, and wait for the next.

It's not as bad as it seems. My jaw dropped when I saw it too. Knocked it out in 2 days. Rumble was the easiest to get it in for me anyway. I just used a void fusion rifle. Believe me the next part of that bounty makes this look like a newborn could do it.

So minimum the only time you aren't making progress is if you can't do better than a match where you've gone 1 kill 3 deaths. Example: 3 kills = 15 points. 7 deaths = 14 points subtracted. You then make 1 point progress. O_O It's an exotic. I'm not saying it's not hard to do. Practice makes perfect man, and exotics shouldn't come too easy. Find a sniper with void damage, and as long as you go better than the required ratio or better, you'll get it. ;o) I do think there should have been an alternative, forcing players to play in matches when they prefer cooperative PVE isn't exactly justified. The bounty should offer options as "500 kills in crucible [b]OR[/b] 5,000 Minotaur headshot kills". Then again whoever designed the Thorn Bounty didn't care about that. -shrug- I ain't being mean. Just saying it can be done despite whoever designing the bounties not giving a damn about the community having that choice. It is an exotic weapon. Short of the rare strange coins rare exotics need a system of being earned. I don't like the exotic shotgun bounty either. But it's getting done, and I'll have earned it. [b][i]Despite[/i][/b] any upcoming NERF Bungie dumps across the board that kraps on the weapon after I earn it.

3 commentairesI have the Thorn maxed out. That isn't the hard part. Third part is killing Xyor the unwed on epic difficulty. Use a rocket with void damage or fusion rifle. Its plus 4 for kills and minus 2 for deaths.

I know right? I gave up on the bounty and is taking up room on bounty slot...thought about dropping it. I too dont like the Crucible. Im not horrible at it but never liked small maps, I played Battlefield way to long. I too hope that this will be changed(if they could). If not, hoping I can just get it through Xur or pick up "The Last Word"

It's not 500 kills. 5 points for a kill -2 for a death. Man up, it really is the easy part of that bounty.

I slapped on a Void shotgun and rocket launcher, and proceeded to cheap my way through that part of the bounty. No regrets. I'm having a blast with Thorn.

I'm terrible at PvP, but I've only got around 80 points left. Either use a Fusion Rifle or Sniper Rifle and a Machine Gun. I've gotten about 350 points over the weekend doing this. You'll also get plenty of marks for faction items.

I was against changing anything to the exotic bounties but this one sounds ridiculous. I don't mind go to crucible to do some small task for bounty. I did 10k points bounty this weekend and it took lot less effort that I thought however I wouldn't want to do this one especially as I haven't got any void weapon.

Dude why are you even complaining 1. Its not that hard, takes like a couple of hrs to do and 2. If you don't like it don't do it? Jesus, ur not missing out on much, i'm the opposite the pvp part was fine, but killing that witch dude in like a lvl26 raid.. errr BORING Thorn i'll go without

2 commentairesFriend of mine did this in about 6 crucible matches. Its not kills. Its like 5 points for a void kill and minus 1 point for a pvp death.

It's easy if you got the Atheons epilogue in the vault of glass..... Auto rifle, 70 rnd mag 600-700 load out in reserve and an auto rifle

1 commentaireIt's +5 points per kill, -2 points per death. As long as you go positive, it shouldn't be a problem. Use snipers on long maps, fusion rifles on medium, and shotguns on close. It's not hard. I used that strategy above and got around 15 kills per match and got it after a little less than 10 matches. It's the part that comes after it is the challenge.

I completed my thorn bounty in 1 day. Let me tell you... if you truly want the gun then you will work for it. No easy way out of getting a gun that amazing

How are you able to listen to your fire team when no one else can? Are these your friends? You need new friends. Your weapon's level doesnt matter in the crucible. You could use a lvl 4 gun and still get many kills. Crucible feels more like halo then COD. Final Verdicts: 1. You suck 2. You like to complain 3. Youre a troll 4. You have never done the crucible or even read into it.

Worse comes to worse get 5 friends and do a FFA match where they let you kill them. Also you are a titan, the defender has at least 2 void grenades and your melee is void as well.

12 commentairesstop whining. The Titan does have void damage, it is called the Defender class. use your grenades. Find a void shotgun. Got into a control match, pop bubble on an objective, murder enemies with Void Shotgun when they enter your bubble, Its really not that hard.

It really is not that bad. I am awful at the current crucible but it doesn't take that long. If you are a Titan or warlock it makes it easier but if you are a hunter, I am, you need to be more creative. Get a void machine gun, stay on the edges of maps, camp heavy ammo spawns and kill people in between with a void fusion rifle. It may take some grinding but it is doable.
