They will when eveyone stops playing as much. Just like they did d1 y1 from what i hear. And vog weapons being obsolete and then the infusion system was introduced in r.o.i. to bring them back.

Modifié par Noble 6 : 3/4/2020 3:22:28 AMDon't forget D2 year 1. The game was in such a bad state that they had no other choice but to listen (different problems, but same principle). And we know the game was in a REALLY bad state, because there was the famous presentation by Activision where they bragged about all their IPs and how well they did, like Overwatch, WoW and CoD... but weirdly Destiny 2 was missing. Says something about the success of a game when a publisher just "forgets" about it.

This is not quite accurate. Items in year 1 were stuck at the level you obtained them until the 2nd DLC introduced an infusion consumable. When year 2 started, every item from year 1 was left at year 1 levels. This was never changed. Infusion as we know it now was introduced to year 2 and up items. Halfway through year 3, all raids in D1 were re-released with year 3 versions of the items that we had to reobtain.

Modifié par dirtycar74 : 3/4/2020 3:42:53 AMY1 weapons were capped at Y1 levels and D1Y2 you had to reobtain them in order to infuse at all. This newest upcoming change is looking to repeat this fiasco. NONE of us are happy about it. However I'd be willing to make the following suggestions and concessions: All Quest-earned weapons are NOT retired, but capped at the MAX for the END of the content year in which they are obtained (not the base PL, but the absolute maximum they could be, to allow for some individual growth and usage). Give us the option to auto-dismantle blue ("rare") items or have them just simply stop dropping if your character is at or beyond the base max power (not including artifact). The only blue drops we want to see are any that may yet still be missing from collections. Retired weapons, if re-released at a later time, should grant veteran users of previous versions a head-start toward earning the newer version if quest-based, and be purchasable directly from collection if random drops. It would show that you respect SOME of our time and effort put into your game's overly grindy systems. You have blatantly lied to the player base and have been called out for it, yet you still stick to your guns (while not letting our guns stick to us). Actions like the planned retirement of these guns and gear just serve to reinforce the outward stigma video games in general have, that of being a waste of time money and effort for the sole purpose of a hollow entertainment experience. Don't do that to yourself. Don't do this to US. We're in this together, we are. Or at least we SHOULD be. Respond, or don't... there is no try. The path to hell is paved with good intentions not thoroughly thought through. May the light be with you. EDIT: this entire reply was actually intended for Bungie/Cozmo... sorry.
