Here's the reason I hate the timer, theres no comparing to other players time completion, theres no par time to beat, the amount of time is to short in my opinion, there's no emblem, triumph or website that tracks the time so its a pointless timer mechanic for a good mission. Your racing against time to avoid orbit sounds like a nightfall to me, and really solo players need to be locked out from these types of quest. Here's what I would do, put the timer at the boss, timer would be 15 minutes more add waves add a par time to beat, and tracking time emblem this would make the timer useful instead of going to orbit. You guys are complaining about enhancement cores, I'm complaining about a small timer, thats funny.

oh please get rid of it for the vox quest on mars its not needed why do you need to torture us with time limits. this isn't Mario or halo. timers hurt this game rather than help it, also champions need more weapons to kill them with also fix the leveling mechanic you got missions that go up to 1580 and I'm stuck with gear at 1550 what gives? do you even care about your game Bungie

30 commentairesBeing timed occasionally is fine. But we're at a point now where almost every activity other than strikes is TIMED in some fashion. Its tedious and tiresome...and shows a lack of creativity, and a corrosive need for control on Bungie's part.

1 commentaireI agree with what a few others have replied previously. I’m sick of timers, time gated quests, etc as we’ve been fed a steady stream of both throughout the lifecycle of this franchise. I’m saddened that recycled D1 weapons are constantly rehashed as opposed to strictly new weapon designs. I much preferred grinding for an Arbalest or Jotunn as I had not played with them before. So you scrubs know Outbreak Prime was one of my favourites from D1. The quest to obtain it in D1, IMO, ranks as the best quest ever developed by Bungie. Getting it in D2, my only hope is that it won’t suck like so many of the other rehashed guns now do. (ie Thorn)

I say use a new (previously used but better imo) mechanic such as.. idk the extinguish modifier and everywheres a dark zone. Similar to picking up secret ghosts in for no time to explain I understand the liking towards urgency or getting past this room to move to the next and the room after that... and im perfectly fine with a timer on that kinda content (like in lost to light for black spindle). The thing i dont like being timed on is the parkour/platformer/tunnel squatting. It just isnt fun to hit a wall 2 inches above a sliver of a platform just to be launched off into a death pit. It genuinely sucks how the rooms without enemies are the most stressful because it feels like one -blam!- up can cost you the entire run. Whether that comes down to slipping off of a pipe, doinkin my forehead on an airduct, not mantling on x ledge, etc. TLDR: im not great at platforming and with destiny physics and feeling rushed by a timer, it doesnt get better anytime soon

Keep the timer. If you think you are above practicing to overcome something you aren't skilled enough to do the first time you try it, you may as well start making friends with local homeless people because life is going to be impossible for you to traverse if that's your attitude. Practice until you complete it. Then you can be proud of your reward.

I like the forge mechanic where time can be added back to the countdown

2 commentaires
I hate the time gated exotic quests, its rush, rush, rush its not fun. You don't get to take your time and explore. I hate being rushed in games, I don't care about how hard the enemies are, in my opinion thats the way it should be but being on a time limit to kill high level bosses is overkill. Sometimes I like to explore, and D2 has a lack of new areas to explore, its the same locations, but timed off areas for quests. Yea I like playing solo and other times with a team, but its still timed either way. What do you think
Some get this man a whambulance and some french cries.

5 commentairesPractice. Practice, practice, practice, practice. You will not get it on your first or second try, maybe not on the first day, but with each attempt you’ll get a little bit better. And eventually, you’ll look back and wonder why it was so hard at first. People need hours to solve raids when they come out, now you got speedruns in under 20min. P R A C T I C E

I’d prefer to see these types of events instead have some form of restricted respawns and kick the team back to orbit if the team wipes. If I want to take my time and take 2 hours to run the event, I should be able to do that. Also, optional matchmaking is needed!!!

Meh it should stay. It's obviously doable. However everyone has a right to an opinion. I personally hate timers. I like looking around and just exploring. But if it's an exotic quest it should remain exotic. I hear what you're saying though. Maybe a compromise could be different difficulty teirs? Easy no timer, enemies are still difficult and you can get 2-3 powerful rewards? Normal and Heroic would stay the same. Just brainstorming here.

I dislike timed quests. I got black spindle in D1 and WoTW on D2. I’ll probably get round to getting Outbreak Perfected at some point, but I still really dislike timers.
-
A Timer is fine just let the Timer (10-min) start when You reach the Boss

3 commentairesDifferent mechanics would be better, the timer would be better kept for just the boss fight, and even then make it a timer where the boss "enrages" at the end of it rather than kicking us back to orbit.

8 commentairesIt's funny how a post like this will get downvoted as if the timer actually made the quest a "challenge". See, if Bungie, well this new Bungie spent more time creating a purpose for a timer like they did in P.O.E like when carrying the essence, you know using mechanics as they should be in this game, I can see a timer being useful. It's not in a quest like this no matter if you like the quest or not. It serves no purpose like it did in P.O.E or any other event that they used a timer as a mechanic as a real purpose to complete a task. It's mind-boggling how some think this timer is actually a challenge. It's not, mechanics are an actual challenge when used properly.

12 commentairesPersonally, I prefer simple restricted zones and checkpoints: A wipe resets the level to the last checkpoint. If that would make it too easy... well it could always just be made more difficult? In this scenario, as with Whisper, I don't find the whole timer thing fun. Remember how everybody hated timed nightfalls? But now Zero Hour is loved because it adds challenge? If the timer was more justified in game then I wouldn't mind so much. Like the siege engine fight: it's a race against the clock to stop the engine from blowing up and incinerating everything. Here? You've got to stop this Fallen guy before he... does something?

4 commentairesModifié par Zelrons : 5/8/2019 9:11:22 PMI'm pleased that the majority of people made the reasonable choice of keeping the timer. And furthermore seeing an actually unbiased poll for once.
-
Modifié par Alphard : 5/9/2019 7:17:31 AMThere is actually a sick emblem for beating it with 5 minutes to spare. Just gotta practice. I'm a mother with only a few hours a night to play and I managed.

6 commentairesListen here bucko, we here in the bungo commun like this kind of stuff. These quests ain't babies first exotic no more and that's good.

3 commentairesHahahahaha this backfired on u BIG time guess what bud 90 percent of the forum and 100 percent of the youtube and twitch creators liked the mission, DEAL WITH IT.

I just want a sandbox mode with no enemies. I want to take a few pictures in the old tower

Time was annoying as far back as the arms dealer nf for acrius. At least then it had anomalies to extend time. No extra waiting for an event to spawn is a plus now too. It’ll get better as the seasons go on

3 commentairesThat's not what Timegated means you walnut

5 commentairesI understand people not liking the timer if they want to explore but complaining about a timer because you have to kill a high-level boss equals casual mindset

10 commentaires-blam!-ing leave it as it is. Jesus you crybabies are literally gutting, and killing this game. Y'all gonna cry for a nerf because you aren't good enough to get the gun?

If you're talking time gated quests yes, of you're talking wisper time limit type thing no.
