So we have another "Special Event" during which Bungie hopes to make a bunch of real money off of Silver purchases, because they don't have time to actually create new game content of significance anymore. If you don't want to force them to actually do something meaningful, then by all means throw money at your TV screens once again; you all can make Luke (self-proclaimed Ass-Hat) Smith an even richer "genius" for taking more money from the kiddies without actually doing anything with the game!
Once again this event is PVP-based, but unlike the last event, you must form a fireteam to play this one since there is no matchmaking for this non-ranked, e.g., light levels are normalized, PVP "Special Event". We can't even play it one-versus-two if we preferred doing that to finding a "partner".
Bungie, you should be endeavoring to include as many players as possible in all activities instead of preventing people from being able to play them at all! Is your objective to see just how fast you can drive away players? If you turn on the lights and it is still dark Bungie, then try removing your head from your ass and perhaps you will see the light!
This is yet another FU to the solo players from Bungie; to whom I say back, FU too!
Edit for the Ninjas:
FU = Feel Undesired
Edit2 for the "SaltShakers"
I never said I was a solo player, but you of course don't really care about the facts or the topic of discussion...
Why anybody feels the need to criticize anybody else for asking about a feature that has no negative impact whatsoever on those that do not use it, but that is of benefit to some subset of players, is beyond comprehension. So, because you don't need it, those that might are somehow the problem to you even though it being provided would have absolutely zero effect on you?
Only a self-centered ignoramus would deprive others of a benefit that has no effect on them whatsoever if provided. To be insulting to those that do need it, or to those that have empathy for those that do, is even worse. If this is how the majority of young people view the world today, then the future is dim for more than just Destiny I'm afraid...
Edit for the azzholes:
I knew I would see you here! :)
TL;DR. Nice bait.

I would really like to see a 1v1 playlist or event call it "Duels" or something. Like when you would pull off a white glove and smack your opponent in the face and say "I challenge you to a duel!" Maybe even have a 1v1 swords where each player can only use a sword, and their grenade. Or so something like "Pistol Wip" where you can only use hand canons and sidearms And, for all of those who would love it, 1v1 snipers

Most of Destiny is for solo people/can be done by sole people, this event is for people that have 1 friend online. It's the definition of the event. This post is a waste of space.

6 commentairesYEAH! F U TOO BUNGIE!!! And -blam!- all you people who keep defending the greedy bastards! What would it actually hurt just to have the option? Oh wait, I know. You see if you cant play solo then maybe you'll talk someone else into buying the game. What other reason is there to not at least have the option? If you think the game was made just for premade fireteams, youre blind. There is more than enough content to hook solo players only to tease them with what they cant obtain solo . Coincidence? I think not. I dont want to play with douchebags. Im new to online gaming (as of the launch of Ps4). Trust me, if I had known most of the gaming community was so toxic and snobby I wouldnt have purchased Destiny. I dont give a shat if you dont like what I say or how I type from my ps4 controller. Have a nice day! (:

2 commentairesNot saying that disagree at all but I just wish matchmaking was added to NF, PoE, and Raids. Not saying people have to play those ways but options would be nice.

3 commentairesModifié par Jarvis T. Smokin : 2/9/2016 8:43:41 PMI've been playing since Alpha and this is the first event that I haven't been able to take part in. I'm not even going to bother log in this week, what's the point. If you're going to enforce fireteams on things, why not add matchmaking, or provide in-game LFG tools. I had no problem paying lots of silver to Bungie to do these events, but I won't ever again be spending any money to buy silver - why should I pay for an event that I'm excluded from?

3 commentairesClearly there is bias against and general mistreatment of solo players by Bungie! Special events and perks for only solo players: The occasional freelance playlist that started today (first solo only perk in 17 months of Destiny) and only grants same drop as general crucible up to 300 light. No attempt to give special gear or weapons to those playing this. Special events and perks for only fireteams: - Weekly Nightfall Strike with possible exotics and 300+ light drops - Year One raids with unique gear and weapons, including two exotics (Necrochasm & Vex Mythoclast), special emblems, shaders, etc - Prison of Elders with unique gear and weapons - Year Two raid with unique gear, weapons, ghosts, and artifacts that drop at up to 320 light; plus unique emblems, shader, and a ship. - Trials of Osiris with unique gear, weapons, ghosts, and artifacts that drop at up to 320 light; plus emblems, shaders, and ship. - Crimson Doubles with ghosts up to 320 light and specials emblems and shaders. - 2 year two exotic weapons that only fireteams can get: No Time to Explain and Touch of Malice. - Destiny's Refer-a-Fried Program with special sparrow, emblem, sword, etc. - Special Daily and Weekly Crucible Bounties. - While solo players can accomplish them, things like the exotic sword quests, Queen's two quests: Lost and Found and Taken War: Petra, Court of Oryx, and Chaperone exotic quest are all much easier to accomplish with fireteam. - An inherit competitive advantage in Crucible, especially in special events like Iron Banner. I no doubt missed one or two fireteam perks!

3 commentairesThis game is dead to me, let The division come, hope they dont -blam!- up as much bungie did

1 commentaireAnyone else want some Chips/Fries. Theres plenty of salt around here to go around

Edit for op....its a multiplayer game..plenty of solo games out there..go fine one smh

Have you ever been at a basketball court and had a guy come up and say he's got next? Then you ask him for his team. And he's says it's just me. Guess whet happens? He doesn't get to play basketball. Freelance is literally implemented for you social autists. Don't be mad because you can't play basketball.

First of all, you're an idiot. Secondly, there isn't anything you have to buy to play crimson doubles. This big "money grab" you're so concerned about consists of a couple of new emotes that are completely optional to buy. A couple of weeks from now, they will dropping from rewards packages. I got the enthusiastic dance as a reward this week. Thirdly, bungie makes the rules for their game modes. You don't like it, play something else. They just added all kinds of solo game modes for people just like you. "but I wanna do what I wanna do the way I wanna do it!" Well tough! Sick it up buttercup, and go find a buddy if you want to play crimson doubles. You sound like a bitch...
-
1 commentaireThis "event" is just 2 man elimination with a special modifier and 20$ worth of emotes
-
I got everything done with three different random people who I invited from the tower.
-
indeed.
-
The drops aren't very good truthfully. No weapons! But the freelancers mode is awesome man.
-
This event gave me a heartburn.
-
Totally agree.....seems they dislike solo players and PvE.
-
Idiotic to make it matchmaking imp. There is no way I can casually play this now.
-
9 commentairesAgreed a multiplayer game with no matchmaking especially during a special event like this is asinine. Don't give me that crap about bounties or anything. That could have been easily worked around. Bungle 100% deserves all the negative press and hate from It's community for this debacle.
-
As someone that just started Destiny a month or two ago and is primarily a pve player, I've slowly but surely played nearly all the pve content. Admittedly I played a whole lot of Destiny on the pve side but very little pvp. As such I agree about the crimson doubles, but at the same time I don't believe Bungie is necessarily sticking a middle finger at pve players. However, the lack of any real ability to organize, plan, and form fireteams ingame is a bit of a problem if lacking friends to help form fireteams for any event requiring a team, both pve and pvp. The fact that the most efficient ways to form fireteams is via bungie's forums, reddit, or some other third party website or method outside of the game is something I hope is addressed on Destiny 2 if not the current Destiny. It is because of the lack of a real ability to form fireteams and my lack of interest on pvp that crimson doubles just doesn't excite me much--and that's fine.
-
2 commentairesI'm waiting for a 1v1 playlist.
-
1 commentaireThis whole event is catered to ToO tryhards. Played six matches in a row and the only win was cause the other team lagged out. I'm just trying to find someone who will help me get the shaders and not just bitch cause we don't win every match.
-
This game is not made for solo play. It's an online multiplayer game. The entire point of it is to play with others. If you want a game catered to solo play, go play Fallout, Witcher, etc. You know, games designed around a solo experience. Putting in features for solo players would just encourage people to not play with others. You don't foster a multiplayer community by having a bunch of ways people can avoid playing with each other. It's an oxymoron.
-
Yep, to sum it up
-
Agreed yet another reason to not play destiny. I've made plenty of friends in my time playing it, also had a lot of friends irl that played through out year one and the start of two. Think any of them still play? Lol. Ah well battlefront it is.
