"Did we mention that you’ll need to confront the immediate threat first? Oryx lies between you and these challenges. You'll need to survive his wrath to partake in the new endgame."
-DeeJ
From the weekly update, after Luke Smith got done explaining the new weekly and daily SETUPS. (Edit: NOT EACH NEW STRIKE, NOT HOW THE NEW STRIKES WILL COME INTO PLAY. JESUS.) Does this mean that until you purchase The Taken King, you can no longer take part in the Nightfall, Weekly Heroics, Daily Heroics, or take the new PvP bounties? He explained all the changes coming to those features and then said we have to face Oryx to attempt them. That means every single Nightfall, new and old. Every old strike on the new(and only) Weekly Heroic playlist. They're locking us out of old content. That is a blatant F-you to the players who have spent hundreds of hours on this game and don't immediately buy the Taken King.
I'm willing to bet that's not all we have now that we get locked out of. To anyone saying this happened with the previous DLC's, re-read. It absolutely did not.

Modifié par The Mahinimal : 9/4/2015 12:02:55 PMThey are doing this because they want destiny 2.0 to be year 2 wear every piece of the game is going to feel new and fresh. They aren't locking you out, they just made everything feel new and unknown again so they made the nightfall rotation only new strikes to make it part of year 2 rather than leaving it in old year 1. You shouldn't need the nightfall anyways if you didn't buy TTK. They aren't locking you out, they're just updating the old game to make it a new one

2 commentairesModifié par 氷水啼エジル・ギュミ : 8/31/2015 1:55:59 PMThis really has nothing to do with anything but speaking of "locked content", shouldn't someone who has never bought either DLC's for Destiny, not be able to get current weapons. It just occurred to me last night when I was ascending weapons from the base game, which can never be retrieved again... But in this case, if I never purchased TDB or HoW, why would I still be able to get those (HoW) weapons through strikes. And technically they would just be HoW weapons only. I just don't get it. What is Bungie doing? Seems like all old content is completely erased when a new DLC comes out! Shouldn't this not be the case?

I'm pretty sure it will not be strike playlists or pvp, but the new heroic playlist coming out and ttk content such as raid and new strikes...old raids and strikes already acquired through play should still be available... Such as VOG and crota...Yes you will be locked out of new content because you haven't bought it...this is what I have taken from them....about the nightfall I don't know.

That would be like getting batgirl but not the story, without buying the dlc.

The stupid is strong with you isn't it?

Never go full retard dude

never go full retard

7 commentairesWith the last DLCs you could not do the nightfalls or weekly on the strikes which ran upon the DLC until you done all the story but you could run everything else. Its been like this since the first DLC
-
Or, maybe... hold onto your butts... maybe he's simply saying TTK players won't be able to play the TTK-specific Nightfalls until they complete all the story missions? He doesn't specifically say anything about old strikes not being in the Nightfall circulation.

I'm coughing this up to yet another blunder of communication. They are so do vague with everything. I saw a video that had Bungie saying that with halo they could be "mysterious" when developing. And that it is different now. So they admit they know they have that vagueness and that they shouldn't anymore. Yet they do anyway. This type of game they need to be transparent. Because of the nature of the progression it's a completely different game from halo. Which had no level progression.

3 commentairesoh. This is a new thing? Didn't they do this to with the last dlcs?
-
3 commentairesWhy do people freak out over this every time? You will still be able to do them if you are the appropriate level you just won't be able to if it is a new strike from the taken king as the nightfall or weekly heroic etc. Gotta buy the taken king if you would like to play the taken king.
-
2 commentairesThat's how it's always been...

I know what you mean. Just like when TDB came out and made everything in vanilla unless and unplayable until you buy TDB. To any new player, it's a big f you in the face. But players of destiny are getting used to bungievision doing that. I hope that TTK is the last of this shenanigan.

45 commentairesWhy you keep playing if you don't want to get the expansions? Just curious

Bungie is super cereal

9 commentairesThey did the same thing with the other expansions, so I really don't see why your acting suprised

4 commentairesUPDATE YOUR POST WHEN YOU SEE THIS AS TO NOT MISLEAD ANYBODY ELSE: So, the quote specifically mentions the NEW endgame. Nightfall was introduced Day 1, therefor is not new. Many people are trying to say that because they are changing it, that makes it new. That is false. For example, Thorn now compared to patch 2.0 Thorn is still the same gun, it just acts differently. Same deal with the Nightfall.
-
Guess you better start throwing some money at your screen then.

3 commentairesOh man I didn't think about that. That's pretty rude to the people who don't buy the expansion
