Pretty simple they don't sit on a pile of cash ATM so if you want to bungo exist in future wi help them if not Sony most likely will kill the company. Marathon is honestly a really really good game with lore and gear. Is graphically pleasing for destiny players.
So stop whining and buy it, it is cheap AF for what you are going to get.
Anyway don't get me wrong I don't like bungie they annoyed me for many destiny years, but I was playing for a decade and I love them for that time.
Honestly stop waiting for the next -blam!--mid season dlc and buy marathon, play with your mates and have fun. Peace

1 ReplySound like the "But the Dev's have to feed their families" drivel the BDF used to pump out back when the game had a possibility of a future. Not buying Marathon. Not another penny on Destiny. I will however be getting me some popcorn for the very near future. It's going to be delicious watching Bungie's chickens coming home to roost .

That is not how it works.

1 ReplyF no.

9 RepliesHow much have you bought into and how much to buy you out?

4 RepliesI don't want d3 or marathon.
-
3 RepliesWould much prefer a single player destiny game over D3 as single player I get a complete story as for marathon still on the fence about might try it if it has a free play weekend or on gamepass.
-
2 RepliesWeird take.... If they go under b/c the game doesn't reach a large enough audience that's on them. That said; Marathon is a fantastic entry for the genre, but it's a niche genre and much more pvp oriented than something casual like arc.
-
3 RepliesAny profits from Marathon is going to Marathon content I would rather spend $40 on anything else
-
11 Repliesbro thought this post was a mic drop :D nobody -blam!- themselves will buy Marathon. Only Bungie fanboys play at this point. Your Marathon is dead bruh. Was humiliated by a game called Slay the Spire. Better to play Arc Raiders if you are in to extraction shooters. Way way better game and cost the same as this slop.

4 RepliesIf Bungie isn’t sitting on a pile of cash that’s on them not the players because customers aren’t responsible for keeping a company alive so if Sony ever shut them down that would be because Bungie’s results weren’t good enough🤷 Games should succeed because they’re good not because players feel obligated to save the studio 🙂
-
1 ReplySo long as Bungie tries to desperately hang on to the existing player base, nothing they do with 'D3' will matter.
-
1 ReplyYou sound like a Bungie Bro. Looking at the metrics, Sony might consider another round of layoffs. The burn rate is closing in. That’s when Sony should hire new developers that have the same kind of passion that players do for D2. Instead of listening, they should be producing. None of this unicorn color vomit. Like and subscribe. Don’t forget to comment down below.
would you like fries with that?
1 ReplyI'm not buying a game I'm not interested in to give a company that has been horribly mismanaged for years money I earned.
-
6 RepliesI have it; the game has some cool stuff in it. But the game is not for everybody. A week has passed and players and sweats have already smartened up. It's a PVP Game. The PVE is overshadowed, I want Bungie to survive too but players who buy this game could quickly hate it and turn against the company even more. Yeah, buy Marathon but players must be willing to engage in PVP and accept defeat and loss at all times. It's a niche game and I think Bungie has stated it's not for everybody. Destiny 2 could only be saved by Bungie committing its attention and resources to Destiny 2.

9 RepliesThat’s the most ridiculous suggestion 😀 Marathon is not worth buying.
-
3 RepliesNah. I’ll invest my money in a company that treats their consumers better
-
1 ReplyId rather take laxatives and eat Taco Bell then go on a run than buy marathon
-
6 RepliesNo. I’m not going to buy something I don’t want just because it might contribute towards something different.
-
3 RepliesWhy would I buy a game that I have zero interest in playing?
-
1 ReplySupporting Marathon is essentially saying “ I am okay with abandoning x game in order for new shiny game to exist”. I won’t support it, even if it means no D3. They should have chosen D3 over Marathon.
-
1 ReplyWishful thinking. D2 ran for over 10 years while I guess that Marathon will last 6 months if you are lucky. Bungie will be gone soon and d3 is only a pipe dream. Modern trends indicate that gamers play a new game that is good and soon move on to the next game. The handful of games that are still being played after a few years are still supported by the developers and do not turn their backs on their followers like Bungie did with D2.

1 ReplyHonestly, I won’t lose any sleep if we don’t get D3. Bungie needs to earn that revenue and trust. They have burned too many bridges of goodwill and monetized the game far too much. I will no longer be their little paypig. And I’m not going to play a genre of game that I have little interest in just to keep the lights on at Bungie in hopes of them making D3. To be honest, the player count is so bad lately and the content so mid, I don’t see how Sony would possibly greenlight this studio gambling millions of dollars on D3. D1 was not great on launch. D2 was initially good but turned into a stale mess extremely quickly. It’s not like Bungie is killing it with initial releases, and even expansions. Lightfall was a disappointment. Edge of Fate did nothing to reinvigorate the player interest despite being an okay story. And the amount of time it would take to get from where we are now to viable D3 release? Marathon isn’t going to string them out long enough.
