If voice chat suddenly stopped working and you’re seeing it greyed out/locked, it’s usually one of two things, not your actual age: Your account has been mis‑classified as underage by the age‑gating system (DOB / region issue), or A platform or Bungie.net parental/communication setting flipped and is now blocking voice chat. A few things to check: On the platform you play on (PSN / Xbox / Steam/Epic), check the privacy / online safety / family section and make sure: Voice/chat with “everyone” or “friends” is allowed You’re not in a restricted child/teen family profile. On Bungie.net, go to: Settings → Privacy & Communications and confirm voice/text chat are allowed. In Destiny 2, open Settings → Social and see if voice options are: Greyed out with a note about permissions → that points to age/parental controls rather than a bug.
