Seriously, do something about duplicate pinnacle drops
Last week it was six energy slots in a row, now it's chest pieces (three in a row out of four so far)

I came back after a month long break and the duplicate drop is still a thing. My pinnacle drops are kinetic weapons only. I made zero progression on 2 karakters. Why even bother with the 3th?

1 ReplySame, got 5 pinnacles chest on my Titan BACK TO BACK. This game is ABSOLUTELY best at pissing off their players, true story.

Also I have the feeling that when you do serveral pinnacles on the same day it's even worse. Like there is a helmet day, a energy weapons day etc...rng in that game always sucked but it's getting worse and worse. Best thing would be to implement a duplicate protection or change the whole system. But I guess it's not in Bungies interest cause it would benefit the players...

3 RepliesThis is the laziest development team in modern gaming. They don’t care about wasting players time. Why do you think they had to make this game free to play? They lost most of their loyal fan base when the good developers quit and they hired discount developers. 🤮

This is happening in every activity, not only pinnacle drops. Bungie is doing this intentionally. It is really pathetic. Every once in while forum members notice the trend. Then Bungie adjusts the drop rate. There is your proof that it is intentional, not random. I just redeemed 10 Umbral engrams for armor. All of them were everything but chest armor -- the one thing I needed. Not long ago I had a similar problem while trying to get the armor 2.0 version of Transversive Steps for my Warlock. Several months passed until I finally got it. Whatever happened to the idea that Xur increases your chance of getting what you don't have?

An internal investigation has been completed. The change to chest piece drops was an unexpected consequence of changing one of the shaders to be less shiny. We’ll revert the change at the backend and repeat energy weapon drops will resume (as you’ve requested) after the next weekly reset. -

Too many pinnacles this week zero power progression - why f@&king bother. Play sh&t you hate and oh get nothing that helps - awesome. Snail progress sure, zero progress get the f@&k out of here.

I totally agree. But I guarantee it’s on purpose and well within their control. This way they can take advantage of the ocd like mentality we all have in some shape or form where we have to hit the power cap. It keeps us coming back every week logging all those hours in cuz maybe this will be the week I get it!?! Nah maybe next week!! All the while the bours played goes up and up and their reports all look good to the people who need them to be good.

2 RepliesAn hour in the crucible getting my ass kicked by guys in trials gear (thank you for removing skill based match making, ahem) for ... yep, an energy weapon I didn’t need. If fact, my energy slot is my highest light level price of gear. Complete waste of time. Zero fun.

2 RepliesThe pinnacle progress is stupid that we have to do this BS every 3 months. Prime engrams are useless once you start pinnacle hunting. Nothing prime about prime engrams.

Pretty sure pinnacles are programmed to only allow you 1 power level per week. once you get that, every drop will be the same class as your highest piece. Thats why we get 6 gauntlets or whatever it is.

1 ReplyI've focused some umbral engrams for weapons, and some engrams I've not focused. The only weapon I keep getting is Hollow Words. I haven't counted, but I think it is 7 out of 7 or so. Something must be wrong.
