WHY can't I have a silencer mod?

It would be sick in the dark below

  • It would be useless in PvE, mobs can detect you when you kill one of them. It would be useless in PvP, the motion tracker works with movement, not noise.

Typically, in modern FPS games, the actual mechanics of how silencers work in PvP is to sacrifice weapon range/damage while allowing you to be harder or even impossible to detect on enemy radar while firing a silenced weapon. The Destiny radar already sucks. We don't need it to suck more, plus, I'm not sure what kind of benefits a silencer would have in PvE when considering how mobs spawn. It'd have to be a cosmetic upgrade and little else.

      • It's actually not a terrible idea in concept although I feel that the way mobs spawn in Destiny wouldn't really play into that concept well ya know? Compared to a more tactical game
