Level 8 vs Level 18 Enemies - Why is there such a difference?
There is a Vandal in the Forgotten Shore who is as tough as a box of nails encased in iron dipped in treacle, he is level 8!
I remember running into him as a level 8 during alpha/beta and he was a very tough but an ultimately satisfying fight (took three of us), now at level 28 I decided to pay him a visit. The odd thing is he appears to be just as strong and is able to take a considerable amount of damage.
In comparison I visited the Hallowed Knights in the dark tunnels under the Cosmodrome, they are level 18 (yellow too) and are considerably easier to kill, taking a fraction of the time to dispatch 3 of them compared to the single Vandal.
Doesn't make sense to me!

If you are talking about the vandal that spawns with the flying drones (name escapes me at the moment), he is pretty heavily farmed for the fallen bounty. After you kill him for the 5th or 6th time in a row, he has significant damage reductions. Even at level 30 with a fully maxed ice breaker, it takes me almost 12 or 15 shots to kill him. Perhaps you ran into that.

2 RepliesTry fighting those Oryx things near the forgotten shores. Two of then melt like butter, but One of them ate four of my rockets to the face, wiped his mouth, and asked for more.

For every level you are below a npc enemy it's 20% less damage and 20% more damage taken I think it should work like that in PVP as well

For what ever reason he nerfs most damage dealt to him.
