I got into the Seraphim Vault, and in it, found a dead Ghost. and you will never guess what it said
it says, explicitly, who the Nine are. why they are. and where they came from.

the card is called "Ghost Fragment: Legends 2"
and reads as follows.
"NINE
The Nine are survivors of the cis-Jovian colonies who made a compact with an alien force to ensure their own survival.
The Nine are deep-orbit warminds who weathered the Collapse in hardened stealth platforms.

EDIT 2: I didntt know this card wasnt from the Seraphim vault, the ghost i found gave me two cards and it didnt say which they were, so this was the one i thought

15 RepliesHow has nobody mentioned Nirn, which is the mortal realm of the finite and the partial? The Nine are as follows: Akatosh, Arkay, Dibella, Julianos, Kynareth, Mara, Stendarr, Talos/Tiber Septim and Zenithar. That's it.

1 ReplyPerhaps the 9 are the events as they happened instead. 9 people want to be immortal. Aliens teach them how to build forever thinking machines. Machines survive the total collapse. Somehow spread into the sea, then things get really strange but it would fit the time line of the awoken who evolved on the outer edge of the collapse perhaps the 9 intervened to save them?

Maybe we are the nine, and the darkness is the nine, just hinting me to believe that maybe the creators of the traveler is the nine the nine. I think that possibly they made multiple travelers and sent them into deep space to find life, and they- Crap my mind just blew. So here's the entire story line, possibly the awoken or whatever the darkness is created travelers (see how the name traveler incorporates into this) and sent them to explore the universe looking for life or to try to control the species with its immense power. But when they found out that one of their travelers (probes) had gone soft and instead of decimating us and making us it's slaves it helped our failing human race they came after it. They not only came after us but they tried to wreck there creation so it couldn't help anyone else. This makes TOTAL sense.

I've thoroughly searched every nook and cranny in the vault and in theory I believe that the vault holds Rasputin's AI core and by the general shape of the vault is that it was made to resist detection and not to mention the actual entrance to the vault is called Bunker Ras-2 and is guarded by the Celebrant of Oryx. maybe a possible link to the darkness below? EDIT: isn't Titan a moon of Jupiter?

Uhh it seems nobody realizes that each description of the nine is vastly different from the other. Besides, if the nine were an important plot point, Bungie would call them the seven.
