Destiny was fun, but Borderlands was funner
Lets face it alot of us are buying into Bungie's Destiny because its our next gen Borderlands. I can`t figure it out but after playing the beta i went back to Borderlands 2 and I wished and wished Destiny was more like Borderlands. I might be jumping the gun a little but as we know Borderlands is 4 player co op you know how its supposed to be, and you just can't beat the team work and the companionship that 4 player brings. Remember guys its 4 players EVERYWHERE at every moment. Thats not the only reason i had fun but Destiny is trying to have a halo/star trek/ star wars/ mass effect vibe. Borderlands is original and definitely has some of that secret sauce that makes Destiny feel so generic.

Borderlands is more about massive amounts of loot, and killing badguys Destiny is more about character development. Borderlands is borderlands and Destiny is Destiny .. I could start to cry like how wipeout HD felt so similiar when i used a sparrow but wipeout was better and why wont the sparrow have weapons lol.

6 RepliesBorderlands 2 disappointed me in so many ways (craptacular raid bosses for one) I much prefer the original. Others have already pointed that if you dig past the superficial these 2 games are very different.

2 RepliesI find borderlands inferior to destiny in everyway except for the four player team potential, based on the beta. I still prefer Destiny's seamless matchmaking, rather than the complete trash matchmaking of borderlands. I personally find the borderlands comparison to Destiny is so far away from what destiny as a achieved that it diminishes the idea of the actual game. I will say that Destiny is standing on the shoulders of borderlands' success, however, as far as getting players sold on the fpsrpg concept, sci fi settings, diablo II style loot grinding, and vehicles/vehicle combat. I believe borderlands was a huge proponent of the games industry widley adopting diablo II style skills and talent trees in all genres, but I don't think borderlands 2 quality holds a candle to the cohesiveness, overall quality, and presentation of the

BL 1 maybe. I did had a lot of fun with it. BL 2 nope. It was missing the magic of the first one. Besides, I don't think Bungie intended to compete with BL 2.

I couldn't play it for longer than thirty minutes. Gives me horrendous headaches for some reason.

I got to level 20 and got so sick of the awful 3D "ink-outlines" overlay, the annoying shouting, and the painfully formulaic gameplay that I get a headache anytime I try to pick it up again. Did I mention how AWFUL that 3D overlay is? It's UGLY.

I could never get into borderlands, I don't care for the art style and claptrap is sooooooo annoying, I much more prefer the destiny universe
