Change Anti-Barrier Mod to Hand Cannon/Sidearm

Anti-barrier hand cannon is worthless. Plus some champs Regen shields FAR too quickly... In Starcrossed, after breaking a shield, immediately followed with weakening 'nade and Twilight Arsenal. Champ regenerated shield before second axe hit. Almost as laughable as Joe's lost sector. And extremely limited Void options for new weapons. Another slow AF fusion with unnecessary unstoppable, decent hand cannon for casual stuff but not barrier champs, and a good sidearm but also no anti-barrier. Simple fix would be to make the anti-barrier hand cannon artifact mod also work with sidearms. This would enable much more build crafting and reduce crutching Praxic in so many activities.

  • Or make champion mods to be optional power boosts instead of must use, less headache

    • The stun time is like .67 seconds. Took a shield with Referbished A499 sniper with Envious Assassin. 1 shot downed shield, second an immediate shot was critical, switched to secondary rocket pulse and he was regenerating before I could take a shot with it.

      Yeah something needs to be done about Barrier this season. I've never really cared about unstoppables - they can be dealt with by just moving - and for Overload there's always Thunderlord if everything els fails - which in contrast to many of the suggested anti-barrier weapons this season actually is a good option outside of just dealing with barriers too. But Barrier should always have at least one good option - and combining a very niche weapon type, such as SR, with a weak HC is not it. Having to rely on procs is not great either.

      • I resorted to using Deterministic Chaos but dang even with that the health and shield recharge so fast. I tried HC but nothing I tried took down the shield fast enough. All the champions seem to be way over tuned right now.

        • The last time we had Anti barrier HC it was absolutely horrible too. HC should never be an anti barrier Option. Also the fact we went from multi weapon mods last season to single weapon mods again was a huge L.

            I hate it when they make a sniper rifle a champ mod weapon. Total waste. Who runs around with a sniper rifle to deal with champs.

            • With the unstoppable volatile mod you can stun all three champs with uncivil discourse. I know you didn't ask but that handcannon is particularly useful this season.

              • I've had an idea. Day after day, week after week, month after month etc, this forum is filled with very valid comments and complaints regarding poor decision making by Bungie, bugs that are never fixed, and ideas that would benefit the game....but sadly are ignored. Maybe we should [b][i]ALL [/i][/b]praise the game to the rafters, saying how wonderful things are, and what fantastic changes have been made. I guarantee that they'd get an emergency team in to make sure that everything we said was enjoyable would be changed within 48 hours.

                • Kinetic tremors, explosive payload,saber,lament,unravelling rounds,volatile rounds and suspend all help with barriers but I agree it should of been sidarm/ hc the artifact barrier mod Overloads need a huge nerf to health regen though
