redesigning the portal is not what we wanted
a portal redesign doesn't make the portal better, you stubborn freaks. we HATE the portal because it sucks the life out of the universe that YOU -blam!- CREATED. in the midst of -blam!- about the portal, i just now was struck by the suspicion that you're going back to full content vaulting, and putting everything in the portal would make it feel less bad to us as players. now, i'll admit that i'm not well and sometimes believe things that aren't true or can't be proven, and this is, unfortunately, one of those times.
but i'm still mad at you now about it. [i]erased to remove that energy from the world[/i]

5 RepliesWell, they did allow us more freedom as to how we complete missions and activities, i mean give some credit where credit is due, it is currently much less restrictive and keep paying for anything you chose to do.

The portal is meh but not useless. I'd rather my menu open action defaulted to the planet map and scroll over to the portal if was out of ideas on what to do and needed guidance. It does seem to pigeonhole folks into a handful of activities which I guess when you are running low on player count why not? I assume thats Bungo's line of thinking. And vaulting lol.

It should be in the background, selectable from the man planetary map and should NOT limit what we do!!! I like the concept of the portal as a hub for activities but since they made it -blam!- to enjoy I prefer what we had in FS!

3 RepliesCommunity goes or Portal goes. That’s 3/4 players asking to get rid of Portal. What, No more Planets, Moons or other large Exploration maps? Either Bungie ran out of ideas or “Last Generation Consoles” holding us back!

3 RepliesThe portal should have been this! Just a shortcut to the weekly activities that grant powerful stuff. Not a full-on "Orbit map replacement". Destiny 1 already did manage it perfectly.

I dont mind the portal that much but I wish that it actually served - what I believed was- it's purpose; Being a fastlane to gear and progression. It's currently not. To be able to get anything out if it we have to fiddle around with modifiers every time and by the time we've fiddled around enough to even get to a B+ it's basically an old GM. And I cant be the only one who has experienced that it's become even harder after Renegades launched? It's just tedious, boring and as far from a "daily activity" we possibly could get. Foremost ultimate at 550 needs to change. The default mode - without any extra BS and modifiers - should always result in tier 5's at level. And no locked loadouts, revive restrictions and other BS - just let us play and have fun. And those who want a challenge every time can fiddle with the modifiers - because I think there's way less of those people. Ratings should only be a means to faster progresisons as you level up - with, for instance, B giving one armor piece and A two.

Honestly the biggest fumble of Renegades is not doing a full overhaul on clans to make them relevant. Especially doing a syndicate/gang war setup.

The portal redesign improved usability. It decreased menus needing to click through. Initially it seems to present itself as a seasonal menu and not the main interface. I have only used it for a few hours. Time was focused on the Campaign. Giving it a chance before passing judgement. It has a lot to prove since EOF portal was absolute trash.

Eh just remove deltas,add more stuff to it and let everything level. The portal isnt a bad thing i like customizing activities its just there ain't enough in it.
