Bungie seems to be changing how we get past catalysts again.
Went from gunsmith, to getting the newest season catalyst, and now it seems to be buying it.
Issue with the newest one: You can't buy it till Renegades (And it might not be possible till the dlc after if we're extra unlucky)

Dang so I have to wait until the next dlc before I can get the third iteration catalyst?

Most likely. Luckily it's not a super long wait since they now treat dlcs like seasons instead of well dlcs.
