TL,DR: Trials Heresy Changes
Edit: It’s very interesting how many players don’t see that this update is only a short term solution that does not address a single core problem with the playlist or pvp at-large. In time, the casuals will leave the playlist again for the same reasons they already do but so will the dedicated players as well because the grind and reward structure are gone for them.
Welfare lighthouse and adepts for everyone. Stat trackers (that nobody cares about) for the “dedicated” players. Goodbye endgame pvp. Hello participation trophies. Oh, and more re-skinned weapons. Oh, oh, and warlock pony tail lol. Pathetic.
We already tried catering to the casual audience in Y1 which nearly killed the studio. The sad truth is, all of the casuals praising this update are going to be the first to leave after they’ve collected their handout loot as they’ve always done. Anything to get butts in seats for the short term.

The only reason I dislike the handout nature is because it's the same reason destiny 2 vanilla almost kicked the bucket. Where playing less meant still reaching the end power grind. I played less this season and I am almost pinnacle light (I get drops at 2010 on the regular if not 100% of the time) It will not fix trials, people will just play for what they want and then never touch it again.

1 ReplyGood changes to be honest still confuses me why some pve weapons drop from trials now I can get them without worrying about being put in a lobby with a cheater or some goated player like wallah no hate for him I think he is one of the best.

And your msg is the kinda; I have issue getting to the light house. And I want it to remain special. In case you haven’t notis there is someone in the community has obtained 5000 flawless while others still have not 1. Aka it’s not special anymore. It’s like quickplay to descent players. So stop acting like something special is lost. It’s just adding a playlist for other players instead of being “like look at him he can go flawless”. that mindset is from 2017 and nobody cares anymore ppl like to play destiny for fun. Not to be good at Pvp, it’s a pir to pir game for god sake there are tic tac toe games more competitive. And if you play to be good go grind the number. But something tells me you’re middle of the pack thinking flawless is special

I think it's dumb AF we haven't had new armor in forever; but eververse gets multiple new sets per season. Equally dumb that we get[u] [b]one [/b][/u]new weapon and it's a sniper, like c'mon...

First thing I thought of is it's gonna be flooded with bad players (for a while) & if you're even remotely decent it's gonna be miserable playing with bad players nonstop. A lot who can't aim will stay in the mode to get 7 carries. Me personally, if I can't earn it by myself & feel like I helped, I don't want it & I've not been decent at PvP since D1 trials so other than the dust challenge imdont touch it. So I'll not touch trials again, playing banner this week has killed my hunger for PvP, dead.
