You extended Iron banner but no new weapons or armor
Theres zero incentive to play this pvp event over 2 week long
Even for 3 days straight.
This event used to bring back people together that haven’t spoken with each other.
Its an event it supposed to be special, this is not an event it’s becoming a weekly club party with the same music.
This is just absolute pitiful.
Just bring back all iron banner weapons from rise of iron
And a hole new armor set
Heck introduce a new map that takes on plague lands, or even an map inside the iron temple/halls
Edit: be honest no one is going to log-in D2 just to chase a origin trait or a single new perk that you probably won’t see becoming relevant in overall pvp.
Edit: i don’t mean to say that bungie devs need to create iron banner armor or weapons everytime but the latest armor has been released years ago, weapons have only been dropped 1 by 1 over several months. Despite the GL strand is actually good there are and i know they’re not many people who like to play with GL at all or won’t even try to go for it.

Maybe if they released some new Iron Banner weapons, people like me who have the title achievement locked at 14/15 due to a bug despite having ALL the Iron Banner weapons current and legacy, we might be able to finally clear that bit and unlock the title we're owed.

There's a reason I haven't touched crucible in around a year. What's the point? Just a bunch of sweats roaming around who have emblems showing their 300,000 PvP kills. And then they message you telling you to stop playing PvP because you're trash even though there wasn't even a contest between you. I'll continue not playing iron banner. I've skipped the last 15 times it's shown up, I ain't about to waste my energy on it now. For the record, stopping playing PvP in destiny was the best thing I ever did in this game.

New armor set and 2 new weapons minimum. Tribute week will be a miss for me and I think it'll be unpopular with queue times reflecting that. But a bad dull shader and same reprised weapons where the godroll is no better than the original Claws and not being that great anyway didn't cut it. It also used to be a great rare source of high stat armor, now it's all ~60point. About the only thing new the added was the quite good emblem...which I have zero interest in and got insta-dismantled. PS Oh and nerf Prismatic Hunter - swarm nade, Smoke, Threaded specter is absolutely cringeworthy - it should never have had Threaded Spectre guys, I mean come on.

For real though the fact that we just got 2 reissued weapons and 0 new IB armor is criminal. It's not asking too much to get 1 NEW armor set and NEW weapons once a year

Ikr! I'm even halfway done to rank up a second time like there's no need for me to do it next week. My theory is I think they extended it so they can fix the trials rank vendor bug because I'm sure you know that some people can't even claim their rewards.. There has been multiple post about it on reddit.

I'm litteraly just doing iron banner for the pinnacles. Maybe try for a reset but not sure yet.

6 RepliesTbh there is way too much loot in the game to even care anymore and bringing back ROI weapons won't help. That would be no different than how they used the sunsetted weapons they said they would never bring back. Filler loot seems to be what this developer is all about these days, and filler loot is what has ruined the experience of playing the game when acquiring loot because there is way too much of it. Think about this for a moment. How existing is it to get the same drops thousands of times?

They gave us 2 guns. I'm ok with no new armor as newer player I have to grind for the old armor sets. What's really upsetting is how your engrams get deleted per new season/expansion. I had saved enough for 2 armor sets, but it's a waste as you can't just open up Iron Banner to get rid of engrams when it's not active.

Like imagine if we got another D1 set back or just another new set in general. Or we got D1 iron banner weapons back. That’d be awesome. Hell imagine if we could grind for iron lord class items. Titans would get Saladin’s cape. Hunters idk maybe could get one of Efrideet’s cloaks. Idk about warlocks But literally nothing new this iron banner really sucked.

2 RepliesThe only reason to get me playing that hell would be the return of the Forward Path auto rifle with new perk. For the rest, no. I had reasons to play Iron Banner back in Year 1 and 2 because it was also enjoyable.

2 RepliesEdited by Fibby: 7/7/2024 8:19:04 PMNew loot would be nice, but overall the rewards seems way better now… Plenty of IB weapons and the occasional alloy drops after games, played enough for 1 reset today and i think i got 5. What makes IB bad is the shitty connections and the team balance is just absolutely horrible, most lobbies has at least that one guy who is either teleporting or just deysynced/doesn’t take damage, and the teams are often so lopsided without any large fireteams present that it seems fully intentional in order to guarantee a win or a loss. Also the usual 4-5 Hunters per team is getting really old considering how busted the new super and the rest of the kit with Prismatic is.

1 ReplyYeah funnily enough now we get so much loot but none of the loot is that good or desirable. Claws and Crimil’s are definitely fine and I can see some people really enjoying them but they really aren’t that special in the current sandbox. We need things on Felwinter’s, Efrideet’s, Clever Dragon, etc level in IB now and the mode will be great.

They sold TFS and brought nothing but old stuff back. Under the guise that they were doing something special. Edit: everything you suggested they bring back...I bet they will..and then try to "sell" it as a reason to play again.

I'm disappointed that the armour set is just a reissued D2 set, That set should be in the legacy section. I was hoping for a new set or atleast a D1 set which would've been better.

I think this is them trying to "fix" fomo, or it's them trying to fill the 3 week gap between act 1 and act 2. But either way having iron banner last 2 weeks probably wasn't the way to go. They could have at least given us something cool to do like drop an updated hawkmoon mission so we can craft it.
