PSA: Stack Bounties... "The Season Rank cap is 100 until Act II starts".
Disappointed in how this was communicated.
I hope you prove me wrong. This is a bad look. No, not the change exactly.
The fact that we had to wait until 2 weeks before ACT 2 to get definitive information about these changes.
The fact that there just happened to be bug that showed carry-over for the player and, again, you waited until the viability and efficacy of stacking bounties was reduced to acknowledge it.
These were choices. Not an accident; that will further create acrimony towards the devs, when they don't deserve it.
This is 100% a money man decision... that will not help revenue.
I will NEVER buy a rank EVER.
Some bridges stretch too far.
This is information that should have been emphasized on launch day.

1 ReplyIf you check your seasonal level on seasonal challenges page (top right) it’s actually above 100 so you should be able to claim the rewards when they unlock with act 2.

1 ReplyIt’s not capped at 100, you can go beyond 100 you just can’t claim the rewards yet until act 2

3 RepliesYes it's capped at 100, but you do earn eververse engrams for every 500,000 XP you earn after reaching level 100 so it seems like a fair trade off to me. I get eververse engrams while just playing the game rather than just earning useless levels beyond level 100 that give me nothing so 🤷♂️

2 RepliesI'd also say to stockpile seasonal challenges along with bounties if you already have like an artifact bonus higher than 15. But yeah the whole timegating on the battlepass for each act is silly when its already in the game, the entire thing should just be available. XP right now isn't too much of an issue with triple xp seasonal challenges and pale heart pathfinders and ritual pathfinders giving challenger XP but they really need to adjust it back down on XP requirements since most players will more than likely not even hit the +20 artifact power bonus. Someone did the calculations and it basically went from 20mil xp for a +20 bonus to double that at 40mil xp which is 400 season levels roughly.

I'm above 100 in terms of exp and artifact unlocks and the "real" level is displayed on the screen when I level up so it's going to be interesting to see if those levels insta-unlock when they drop Act 2 or if we're still forced to start from 100.

After seeing act 1 being 1-100, act 2 being 101-150 and act 3 being 151-200 this is exactly how I expected it to work. -
7 RepliesIt's an interesting situation. I always thought the goal was to get players to log in and play more... "Capping" the pass at 100 for weeks at at time and requiring gobs more, maybe more than double, to move past that, is having the opposite effect on me. I'd like to move my artifact higher but I'm not interested in having to do twice as much (not sure what the actual multiplier is) for what was the same result just a month ago. I really thought this expansion was going to move things forward in the Destiny universe. I have been grossly mistaken about that. Hey but my foot is a 3 story building in the tower and when I leave, I'm invisible a lot of the time. Lol, like, WTF?!

maybe I'm missing something but aren't you running a loop of making the episode less fun for yourself? In theory starting the season without stacking anything you will up to max in no time.. but at least it will be a touch more meaningful? This way just play to play.. get the things you want, goof off, play other things but forget "prepping"? -
2 RepliesI get what you saying, but I don't think this is a money play by bungie. I say that cause there is no reason to stack bounties nor buy ranks. Reaching max light through reg play is easier now than ever. If anything, I think bungie is doing what the community has asked for: make it feel like we don't have to play every day, all day. You can take breaks from the game and will not be missing out on anything, which is great. If you buy ranks now, it's cause you want to, not cause you have to.

5 RepliesYour still getting the ranks past 100 it's just not showing on the season pass. Look at seasonal challenges for example you will see your rank.

Seasonal Challenges tab still shows the +100 rank.
