Nightfall weapons don't drop on Advanced?
I've done over 15 (or more I kind of lost track) nightfalls, and these double nightfall drops only seem to mean more upgrade materials. I thought that meant the featured weapon, too. I guess not. I've lost count of how many times of the fireteam killed all the champs and somehow only getting gold. Wtf?!

Edited by EMUracing: 7/1/2024 1:36:16 PMI farmed the advanced NF for some mats and strange coins to reset xur this weekend. I must have dropped 4 or 5 in 30 runs. So, roughly 20-25% drop rate for me. You HAVE to get platinum for it to matter at all. Which means that you need to kill all champions. 4x overload and 4x barrier in the boss room. (2 each wave). 1st wave, 2x overload left portal 2nd wave, 2x barrier right 3rd wave, 2x overload left 4th wave, 2x barrier left I spawn kill the champs as they come out of the portals. If the boss is killed before they spawn, then it still goes platinum, since you need to kill all champs that spawn, not all champs that are in the strike. If you have a gold reward, then you did not kill all champs. The final wave of barriers are easy to miss, unless you spawn kill the wyvern and champ immediately after. If you are playing inside the rooms, waiting for the enemies to trickle into, you are missing those barriers. They will die when the boss is killed, and unless you have done damage to them, they wont count towards the platinum reward.

I got three of the linears in 4 nightfalls. Make sure you get the barrier champions at boss fight.On a couple, it was a race to get them before teammates killed boss.

Do a higher level nightfall. Master is basically free on Glassway

Select a harder difficulty one and make sure you’re hitting platinum

I just checked, went 0/25 trying to get it today, myself. Definitely frustrating.

its bcs RNG is fake. rng mean only good drops for all other.

If you get gold then that means you didn't kill all champions. Yes, it's double drops. If you get a weapon to drop then you would get it twice. If it doesn't drop then what does 2 x 0 equal?

The drop rate increases alongside the difficulty. At the highest tier, drops are guaranteed.
