People judge me for my rank 6 also. Why am I rank 6 you ask? I don’t play pve, it’s funny when I wreck people who judged me for my gardian rank really

Make your own group or don’t join a group with a stipulation like that knowing you don’t meet the requirement. Seems like a non issue.

Edited by llehctim787: 2/21/2024 10:34:35 PMI know majority of players stuck on 7 or 8 that are a millions times better than any 10 or 11 that has crossed my path. Guardian rank means nothing. They should have gone with the triumph score instead. I could increase my rank but I don’t feel like playing the Crota raid so I’m forever rank 8

4 RepliesBungie designed this ranking system knowing very well it would create division and more elitism. Bungie excels with the “do as I say not as I do.”
-
7 RepliesIm stuck at 7 now cause I refuse to do the campaign on Legendary lol
-
1 ReplyWhy are you joining if it says rank 10 or kick.. the instructions are pretty simple and quite honestly.. while you may be great at running a GM at rank 6.. most are no where near capable of this. You are free to make your own posts. invite rank 6 players if you would like too.. but, it sounds more like very other post about this.. you also want to play with more elite and skilled players and want them to invite you to their GMS.. The chances that a rank 6 player is at the level that many 10 or 11 are at is remote at best.. time is fleeting and nobody wants to get stuck not completing stuff just to give a rank 6 player the benefit of the doubt.

1 ReplyHit rank 10
-
1 Replylol seriously? On my main account I left it at level 6 until last year and only jumped to 8 this season. Rank tells you zero.
-
2 RepliesThis is why guardian rank is a failure. It doesn't reflect your skill or anything, just how much you've done from the chore list on every reset to stay in that rank and for some reason people use that to measure skill
-
4 RepliesHere, here! I’ll forever purposely be rank 7 out of sheer laziness. Could be 8….Maybe even a 9+, but I’ll never know cuz I just can’t seem to care. Doesn’t mean I’m not as good as a 8 and up though, ya know?

29 RepliesI'm going to reply as a salty GR6. Because I am. The main reasons 10's and 11's exist aren't because of skill. Hear me out. They paid for the privilege. Dropping bank on all the toys. What skill is it to go thru as Stasis and ice age everything? Or Strand and Green Lantern everything? IS that skill? Or is it paid abilities? GM mechanics? Stand here, shoot that, pick up stuff, put it/use it there, rinse repeat. Difference between a 6 and an 11? 6 earns it. 11 uses their paid toys to get it. "Git gud". Ok, sure, lemme drop bank on that weapon/ability and I'll show you "gud". Freeze everything. Green it up. "See my skill now?" Nope. I see paid privilege. Hate me, idc. I'm a 6, and I'll be 6 forever. And I'll be the one using skill to get thru, not glaciers and green goo.

11 RepliesThat is part of the reason I feel LFG is trash. The community for Destiny has become far too much into the elitest side that most people are just toxic and aren't even willing to help newer players most of the time. A friend of mine with the older LFG system had to deal with trolls each time he tried it so it's just not a system they needed with people being this restrictive.
-
This age old argument, I get what your saying but people are aloud to be ignorant if they want to be.
-
Enjoy waiting for players to join. I will add if done in LFG. Show goals for event. Add restrictions so players cannot join. It isn’t rocket science. Team leaders need to play smart not ego trip due to personal failures.
-
6 RepliesImo the only one that means anything is rank 11. Other than that, they are just a checklist.
-
3 RepliesI honestly hate the ranking system, nothing was wrong with us just simply checking the reports, which is still the better way, guardian ranks gives 0 information, raid report gives all, dungeon report gives all, trials report gives all, ranks doesn't give the full picture, for instance if I had a choice between a person with 30 crota clears and no other raid experience vs a person with over 600 raid total clear but only 2 of those are crota, im going to pick the person with the with the 600 every time just because of conditioning.
-
1 ReplyI used to rank 11 but do not want to try again. For solo player like me it is imposibble to find crota raid players on master. So this is not make me better or worse. Should remove ranking system alltogether
-
9 RepliesYeah I don't really get it. When I LFG for a GM, I just look at what the loadout is of the player that joined. I couldn't care less what their guardian rank is.
-
4 RepliesDon’t worry about it. I’m rank 11 an I actively avoid posts requesting x rank requirement. Rank doesn’t necessarily means the player is a slayer automatically.
-
This post is very ironic considering that you kick people in your lfg’s 🤣
-
5 RepliesJust saying, but… Anyone who values guardian ranks like that is likely a toxic player.
-
3 RepliesI don't understand wanting to play with people who don't want to play with you. It's a baffling and likely generational distinction. I just don't get why you don't value yourself and your playtime by begging people to let you party up.
-
Saw that coming, bungie wanted to reduce the barrier for entry with their new lfg system but indirectly shot themselves in the foot by introducing guardians ranks. Quite the contradiction really.
-
10 RepliesMake yout own posts. Everyone is perfectly entitled to choose the criteria for thier fireteam post.

31 RepliesEdited by YATM: 2/18/2024 11:38:37 AMRank does not mean everything and even as a rank 11 I get randomly kicked by elitists who don’t like something about my loadout. Hell I have been kicked because I didn’t know a teams whacked out strat to cheese the Gatekeeper in level 1600 VoG. Doing it legit would have been far easier IMO. One time I got kicked for NOT running double primary. Guy didn’t understand there are lots of different ways to stun champs. Don’t let people like that bother you. You wouldn’t want to go through an activity with them anyway. But Saying it doesn’t mean anything is wrong. Some sixes have barely played endgame content. Every level 9 and above has played at least some. Every level 10 has beat every raid and every level 11 has solo’d a dungeon and beaten every encounter of the most recent raid on master. Unless paid for, this suggests at least some skill at high level content. Of course, there are exceptions to the rule but to say rank doesn’t matter is disingenuous. I personally don’t use it to exclude people. It’s far from perfect since it involves commendations. Hell even Raid report is not perfect since people do checkpoints or farm spoils from chests and then leave. I almost always leave rank open. I ask for experienced players when I need to get something done quickly. If a 6 shows up I give them the benefit of the doubt. They can tend to die more, but there are also some exceptions to the rule.
