It's matchmaking design is catered towards carry culture.
They purposely put you disadvantaged so you can run to a carry partner.
Ever notice, they get easier trials matches then anywhere else in game? Talk about easy mode. They need yall for a living, they need you wayyyy more than you need them..
I suggest you stop participating, tank the numbers and drive the "guarantee flawless " cheesers away. Use your brain, don't be fooled by "omg it's meta" or "s tier crap". They only trying to entice weak players so they can cash in.
Stop acting like trials is the pinnacle of pvp, like "real pro " players are joining every weekend because it's prestigious. They are not, shout out to gjake , frostbolt. They the only players I genuinely believe play fair. If you want change stop playing trials.

You’re discouraged from playing as a team, especially if you’re doing a carry. Turns out that people stop getting their friends to hop on the game to play with them when they’re encouraged ton play solo. Might be why the population has dropped so much with team size based matchmaking…

Edited by ♤ TeaBags0614 ♤: 2/5/2024 7:56:51 PMBro I don’t really play trials (literally all I really wanted out of it was adept Igneous and I got that so-) but your rant here is brain dead

Posts like this give me hope. Not your incoherent rambling about carries. No, what gives me hope is the people responding to your comment. People who still genuinely enjoy playing trials, and ignored your rage bait to explain why. I play solo trials every week it's available, and I love it. For me, it's about high octane 3v3 gameplay. No SBMM, just your own skill and luck of the draw. You are punished for your bad decisions and are forced to adapt quick. I find 6v6 to be too chaotic, and feel that the single map repetition of trials is how I truly get better.

Edited by Rams: 2/5/2024 4:57:41 PMTrials is not rigged, no one has easier lobbies than others, the only reason why it looks like good players get easier games, is because they can beat the people you can’t. I play trials because I find it fun, i don’t really care about going flawless anymore, i like playing it. I get mad at it because i don’t like dying to things that aren’t fair (Clones and threadlings, one shots that aren’t supposed to one shot). I don’t care what the loot is, the only reason why i don’t play it as much now, is because i’ve been playing other games. I also don’t have the “passion” to sweat my hardest and abuse meta loadouts. I have no idea where the sense of entitlement came from in this community. During D1 trials I sucked, what i didn’t do is ask for people to boycott trials or for free trials loot. I played with my friends, who also sucked, and we all got better. No other game has people getting mad at other plays for getting better at the game, and then demanding to get given the same loot. Not everything in the game is meant to be done by everyone, get over it. This isn’t elitism, it’s called a fair playing field. PvP players don’t ask for free GM adept or Day 1 raid emblems, why should PvE players get top PvP loot without working for it?

To answer the question in the title, I think that the game mode is fun. Rounds are fast paced, and individual decision making is important The loot is also generally pretty good, and it's fun that there's some stakes tied to earning cooler rewards I enjoy Trials way more than I enjoy Comp

Weapons, armor, emblems, shaders etc Loot is great and if you play solo Alacrity is the very best origin trait. It makes great weapons best in class.

I have fun in this playlist regardless if I go flawless I’ve already done that a couple time ls and got the seal

5 RepliesI use to play trials because I enjoyed seeing my progression and improvement. Once I was able to go flawless consistently, I enjoyed playing because it is a solid game mode with good connections and little to no lag unlike the strict SBMM lobbies. For the first time in whatever streak I’m at I don’t feel like playing - Sounds like you’re just salty and want to blame others rather than trying to improve.

Play trials because it’s fun, it’s 3v3 !!, it’s kinda prestigious, and I once struggled so hard to go to the lighthouse! I decided to GeTGUd and stop being the weakest link in the fireteam. I played rumble to get my 1v1s down. Played elimination till I got over 5-600 annihilation medals. Learned when to fight and when to not take the fight. Now I have triple digit flawless and go regularly 2-3 times a week (more if I have time) lol Anyone can get better. You Just have to try..
-
I don’t. I’m rubbish at it so I chose not to inflict myself on other unfortunate fireteams.
-
I play (badly) just to get engrams
-
Because there is no SBMM and it offers the most variety
-
Many months ago it wasn't to bad and fun even went flawless . But they changed the match making which lead to player drop off . Now its just a small player base with sweats and cheats add that to bad match making and you have a diminishing game mode on the way out.

6 RepliesEdited by llSpAxXll: 2/3/2024 5:05:08 PMStop worrying about going flawless. The ‘normal’ loot is nearly just as good as the adept versions. All adepts get is a +5 in their desired stat mod of their choosing. Just start a card, take your losses and stay in the practice pool and just farm it out for rep and engrams. Get your desired loot and be done with it. You set your expectations this way you might even have some ‘fun games’ while your at it.

I like to play to see how my meta load out does zero damage to anyone, and to see how fast i can get insta splatted by same meta loadouts 😂
-
I play for the gear that’s it! I don’t care about the lighthouse way too much stress and sweatiness to get there.
-
I stopped trials yrs ago, stress kills and I found trials more stressful than fun. The rewards were decent but not worth being in a bad mood all day for.
-
For fun, good weapons, smexy armor, and still hoping for the last ship I need, the newest one...

6 RepliesLiterally only bad players agree with you 😂

Fake account or new player just echoing a sentiment. Get off your soapbox mate.

You don't even play...

Edited by Zodleon: 2/4/2024 12:10:28 AMTitle should be "I don't want you to play trials" this isn't a discussion as much as a rant

Edited by NotCreative123: 2/4/2024 6:35:06 AMIt's crazy how inconsistent you are. Complains about carry services, then lauds streamers who carry... What the heck. If you don't want to play Trials, then don't. The reason it's considered the "sweat mode" is because good players have the inherent advantage of being good. That's because Trials uses random (connection-based) Matchmaking. When anyone can play anyone, the best players will ALWAYS come out on top. Complaining that Trials is easier for good players is so backwards its funny. It SHOULD be easier for good players, because everyone is playing for the same rewards. If good players got different rewards, THEN you could make it harder on them. EDIT: "Bad" players can play Trials in the Practice Pool and get "easy" games. Or, you can find a team and work together to go Flawless. At least 1 in 4 players who play Trials go Flawless on any given weekend. Those are pretty good odds.

i dont own a a!mb0t so im never setting foot there

I actually enjoy it, 3v3 is way better than 6v6 imo
