There is nothing to play anymore except Raids & Dungeons, which I don't want to play because of not being worth the time involved andor being too sweaty. Where is the fresh, fun, and non-sweaty content?
Every season is the same crap. Each week: play the story, which is a derivative of the seasonal activity, listen to some slow unimaginative monologue, then play actual season activity, and listen to more monologue.
I usually don't mind the seasonal activity, and will play it alot. However, this season the activity is boring AF. To think I have to endure this for 7 months creates a feeling of despair and at times apathy towards game.

6 RepliesSo, to bring out, D1 had much less content than D2..Well Why? because the sense of Discovery and wonder was a big factor. There was secrets left and right. There was the idea of what was hidden. In D2 it feels as if everything is front and center. D2 gained and Lost that in 1 year..Forsaken. So running the Sub Par Raids, sub par Dungeon's is just busy work. So the sense of having Fun is lost. I honestly dont think we will make it to the Episode thing. If or when the Sony takeover happens..If Final Shape Fails..Episodes wont be a thing. Like the only 2 raids id play would be Kings Fall, and Crota. all the other ones feel like copy and paste.

stopped at raid and dungeon being too sweaty , lol

It sucks to hear that. I think The Coil is the best seasonal playlist in quiet some time!

1 ReplyI wouldn't say this Seasonal activity is boring. The problem is the length. If you go through it completely, that usually takes 30 minutes to an hour, depending on who you're playing with. While you're getting a lot of loot in that amount of time, I doubt anyone would feel like jumping back in again immediately after clearing a run.

Destiny 2 is already getting player numbers that are common late in a regular season after only two weeks. I think a lot of people have checked out already from the game. I know I have. I've played the story missions and even then I was asking myself why I'm bothering. No matter how you slice it, this season is not reenergizing the player base.

I have to agree to some extent, it is boring if your playing the story Example, your presence in any of it is a fetch quest and the getting to know the meaning if insanity But that is truly the problem, we have nothing to do just wait and do nothing if your not in a clan and if you are hope that the clan isn’t burned out just as badly as you are That is truely sad when in d1 you always had something to do, go do strikes that could change half way though and had specific armour or weapons to get or anything sure it was still boring but now in d2 it’s just the same old stuff Fetch quest, kill this thing, press the interact button return to the helm and listen to an conversation and act like a hat rack, cause your not important to this conversation

2 RepliesEdited by Hawpy: 12/11/2023 12:48:23 AMIMO Coil is the best seasonal activity we have had in a long time, and Riven's Lair is a very fast version of the same thing. One is very quick and farmable, the other is lengthy and difficult but drops a massive amount of loot by this game's standards. I think there are enough pathways and encounters for them to not feel overly repetitive, either. I will always be happy to do a Dungeon, I think they are just as worthy of being flagship content as Raids. They're fun, don't take too long, they're farmable and accessible to a much larger number of players. For a typical team, a Raid is never actually good value from a time-to-loot perspective; outside of a few standout weapons, most items are forgettable - but this is nothing new. Raids are just as much about the experience and the showpiece as they are about items now. If you were expecting anything different in how the seasonal story is presented, in the 16th season under this model, I don't know what to tell you.

All the seasons are boring.

I ran warlords last night a few times start to finish , then a few more final boss. All it gave me was 10 more helmets I already had and the same bow . If that RNG wont kill a game I don't know what will. Terrible Bungie, fix your game.

Edited by Magiscene: 12/11/2023 4:45:54 PMAgree to an extent. I’ll conment only about the seasonal content. I feel like this season’s activity is the same as it’s reused so many times and the extra activity we got was just a reprise of an activity we farmed into oblivion 4 years ago. That’s why witch and deep seasonal content imo are better as they had more variety. Deep had salvage, fishing, and deep dives, witch had imbaru engine, alters of summoning, and savathun’s spire. Each activity had a different gimmick behind it making it feel fresh/different. While wish activities all feel the same. The coil is the main scaling activity with Riven’s lair just being a single section of the coil each run, then they reused the blind well for the third activity and we’ve all played that into oblivion. The only confirmed thing we have left is the exotic mission for the strand bow which I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s just reusing the arena from Vex Offensive from season of the undying. So far I’m not hopeful for this final season.

This Season Is Boring…
But of course it’s boring. This game is empty. They’re milking a dead carcass! Bwahahahahahaha!!! Welcome to hollowness!

2 RepliesEdited by xbroggiex: 12/12/2023 3:52:54 AMI think I can count on 1 hand how many new assets are in this season. Its even sadder when you realise all the combat arenas this season are all reused areas (maybe except the exotic mission but seeing the Black Garden and Venus Vex Spire doesn't fill me with much confidence).

Where is the fresh, fun-
What do you guys think Destiny is, exactly? Everything Destiny could possibly be gameplay wise, it is. They're not adding an asymmetrical slasher vs survivor mode. New season, new weekly questline, easy activity, slightly harder activity, some refreshed gear for rituals, new perks, a couple exotics. That's it. That's the content loop. It's been a decade for the franchise and 7yrs for the 'sequel' itself, what makes you think there's some wild and "fresh" thing they can do? This is called the end of the life cycle. There's not a such thing as a forever game with an infinite pipeline of "fresh" content.

Coil is fun. The dungeon is fun (I guess you could argue it's not part of the season though). But as for everything else? You're right.

3 RepliesYou should try reading War and Peace if you think this is boring.

1 ReplyEdited by Lore Lawyer: 12/11/2023 4:04:42 PMThey should have a season of the forums 💡😯 I would for sure be playing. Eververse would have ninja themed armor. For each upvote you get new seasonal loot The new seasonal activity is a 6 man argument Artifact mod could be forums ban shield.

8 RepliesThe season has just started. You haven't even seen everything that's in the season. There is a lot more to come!

1 ReplyEdited by Vanzen: 12/11/2023 9:57:26 PMThis season is as boring as the others. Story is boring, characters are even worse than boring, so bland they all are. Most of them, I just cant even stand to see them or hear them. The only one that stands a bit out is Savathun.

"Making games is hard" - Bungie, because games don't make themselves while everyone stands around and does nothing

Have tried committing to a certain build/weapon/ability and becoming the best version of yourself?

2 RepliesSo what’s going on this season? I’m taking this season off while I debate on getting final shape. If I do get it it’s going to be the base game and not the season pass. I’m with you I don’t feel rewarded when I play so… I don’t.

Been that way for a while. FOMO/seasons went a long ways into making things worse.

All seasons are boring

Every season is boring

1 ReplyYou refuse to play endgame content and then cry about there being no content to play?
