Which Stats are best?

Which stats are best to maximize? I never paid much attention to them until now but is it best to prioritize Discipline, Intellect, Strength, Resilience or Recovery? I heard intellect might be useless because supers take forever to recharge anyways but I wanna hear y’all’s opinions.

  • I would prioritize Mobility on Hunter, Resilience on Titan, and Recovery on Warlock. The way stats work is they’re broken into two buckets, top and bottom. Top bucket is Mobility, Recovery, and Resilience. Bottom bucket is Discipline, Intellect, and Strength. The stats on your armor pieces are divided into these two buckets. So exactly half of your stats go to the top bucket, and exactly half go to the bottom. So for triple 100 stats, or at least close to that, choose the stats you want. Pick one from the bottom bucket (Discipline is hands down the best, Intellect is trash, Strength is worse than Discipline) and pick two from the top bucket(Remember always prioritize your classes’ specific stat first, Mobility for Hunter, Resilience for Titan, Recovery for Warlock). For your second stat on the top bucket, it’s up to preference. For Titan and Hunter I recommend going for Recovery, and because Warlocks should already be building into recovery, I recommend Resilience. Next, concerning whichever stat you want for your bottom bucket, you’ll want to go to your Ghost Shell and equip the corresponding armorer perk. If you want Discipline for your bottom bucket perk, use Discipline armorer. What this does, is it forces your armor to give you high discipline armor. And because there are the two equally separated buckets, your top bucket will roll randomly. Almost all your armor will roll high discipline in the bottom bucket, and random in the top. Just farm armor and you’ll eventually get the stats you want in the top bucket. The best armor farm is dungeons, especially master dungeons, and seasonal armor focusing. But anyways, to officially answer your question, for newer players (on Titan because that’s what I play) I usually recommend going for 100 Resilience (a must) and 100 Discipline, plus high recovery. The reason I recommend Discipline is so you can learn your abilities and get comfortable with them. Once you’re good and comfortable with your abilities and you’re ready to focus on your gunplay, I recommend going for 100 Resilience and Recovery with as high Discipline as you can get. You’ll come to learn Recovery is vital for re-engaging gunfights and going on sprees. Nowadays, I’d rather have 100 Recovery than anything else. Good luck! 👍

  • From a lore standpoint, probably intellect.

I like spamming ability builds so i build into that stuff kinda Void, Arc and Solar Hunter: 100 mobility(I like mobility) 70 resilience(I just use font of endurance) 100 discipline(I like grenades) Recovery, Intellect, and strength I don’t really care about. But my stats change depending on which subclass and build I’m using. My stasis hunter is triple stat:100 resilience, 100 discipline, and 100 mobility, don’t really build into strength at all for some reason, same for the other classes except titan strand I think. That’s it for Hunter Subclass. Void Warlock(I also like ability spam) 70 resilience(I use font of endurance) 100 recovery 70 discipline(I use font of focus) 80 intellect(I use font of wisdom) Strength and Mobility Are 30 or lower because void warlock’s melee ability is pretty bad in Pve, and mobility? Nah. Reason why I use triple 70 and 100 recovery is because I use Nezarec’s Sin. Once again i really don’t care about strength. Void Warlock(Contraverse Hold)(Grenade Build) 80 resilience 100 recovery 100 discipline For Weapons I use Traveler’s Chosen And The Enigma(I love glaives) Aspects: Echo Of Obscurity(Or Echo Of Expulsion), Echo of Remnants, Echo of Instability, And Echo of Exchange. That’s all for Void! Solar Warlock(Sunbracers) 70 resilience(My resilience is 69 so it’s annoying)(Using font of endurance) 100 recovery 100 discipline If you like throwing grenades then this is the build for you! Plus make 1 million orbs of power! Use Heat Rises and Touch of Flame. For class ability use phoenix dive since you can get restoration X2 from heat rises so you can heal constantly.(If you are using Ember of Empyrean) That’s all for Solar! Stasis Warlock(Osmiomancy Gloves)(All about throwing grenades) 100 resilience 100 recovery 100 discipline Stasis is a little easier to get triple 100 stats sinfe the fragments give you a lot of resilience. For aspects use Bleak Watcher+ Iceflare Bolts for Constant Freezing! For fragments run:Whisper Of Durance(Or Whisper of Fissures), Whisper of Shards)(This may sound weird but I use Wicked Implement), Whisper of Refraction, And Whisper of conduction(For the extra stats,if you don’t need 10 resilience and 10 intellect then use Whisper Of Torment)That’s All for stasis! Arc Warlock(Ultimate Ability Build)(Crown Of Tempest) 70 resilience(Font of Endurance) 100 recovery 100 discipline(For me it is at 90 though 😢) 40 strength and intellect Arc warlock is SUPER FUN TO USE when using crown of tempest. For weapons use Trinity Ghoul+Arc Machine Gun. Fragments Use Spark of Discharge, Spark of Resistance, Spark of Shock, and Spark of Amplitude. Aspects:Arc Soul+Electrostatic Mind. That’s all for Arc! Strand Warlock(I don’t really use strand warlock) But the stats are basically the same as Void Warlock(Nezarec’s Sin). For strand warlock I use swarmers for more damage and stuff. Fragments: Thread of Generation, Thread of Warding. Thread of Rebirth, and Thread of Evolution. Aspects: Weavers Call+Mindspun Invocation. Weapons: Any strand weapon really. Thats all for Strand! Here comes the TITAN! Titans are all about punching stuff mindlessly so it’s kinda boring but you can make a trillion orbs just by punching stuff. Solar Titan(Synthoceps)(All Rounder Build)(Mostly Punching Though) 100 Resilience 50 recovery 100 discipline 80 intellect(For some reason I like high intellect on titan. 20 strength and mobility(No need for strenth since I am using bonk hammers. For fragments run Ember Of Searing, Ember of Ashes, Ember of Tempering, and Ember of Mercy. Aspects use Sol Invictus+Roaring Flames. For Weapons Use Bxr-Battler With Demolitionist+Incandescent.(Paired with whatever u want) That’s all for Solar. Strand Titan(Kinda Op right now)(Melee Focused Build)(Synthoceps) 100 resilience 50 recovery 60 discipline 40 intellect 70-100 strength This build is really easy to make. Just slap on Monte Carlo+Strand Sword and aspects Into The Fray+Banner of War and you are good! Do not forget to put on Thread of Warding though, also use grapple! That’s all for strand! Arc And Void Titan are basically the same as Solar Titan Stats. Void titan I use a lot of different exotics though. Arc is kinda good but not really for me I guess. Stasis Titan(Heart Of Inmost Light or Armamentarium)(Triple 100 Stats) 100 resilience 100 recovery 100 discipline I haven’t really used stasis titan that much because it just kinda sucks. Thanks for reading!

    • Hunter - any spec over 70 is what you need, mobility 70+ (100 preferred), resilience 70+, discipline 70+ are the best with at least 30/40 in recovery Titan - resilience and discipline at 100, rest don't matter unless its for a particular build Warlock - recovery at 100, resilience 70+, discipline/strength are build dependent 70+ this is what I've noticed; 70 - 95 I really don't feel a difference during gameplay but a 100 stat is noticed. 100 mobility for a hunter is most definitely noticed, same could be said for 100 resilience for Titan and 100 recovery for Warlock. Above is just what works for me, but I've run DSC flawless on Hunter with 70 mobility and you can make every jump required. So a 70 stat is the baseline for me, for any stat you want to explore. cheers Wook

    • Depends on PVE or PVP. For PVE resilience is most important and for PVP I personally find mobility and recovery most important. You have to switch it up based on your build. For example if I were running sunbracers I’d spec into discipline and resistance with recovery. Or if I were running a throwing knife build for pvp I’d spec into strength

      • PvE Resilience Then strength or discipline (depending on your build) Then recovery (unless your build some sort of health regen etc The only caveat to this is if you’re a hunter then mobility is probably 2nd most important as a lot of builds depend on it

      • Depends on: 1. What class do you want to play? 2. What is your play style?

      • Depends on how you play. I perfer to spam abilities so I focus on resilience, discipline/strength, with intellect being the 3rd stat. Ultimately it's more important to make sure your armor has base stats of 60+, then use mods to boost the stat you want or to boost your weakest stat.

        • 1 - resilience 2 - discipline 3 - recovery Usually these 3, with mobility for hunter being also very useful. 30% damage resist with resilience Grenades are another weapon, so the more the better. Recovery, getting your health back sooner is always good.

        • Generally you can't go wrong prioritizing Resiliance, Discipline and Recovery. If you main Hunter, one of those will need to be replaced with Mobility.

          • PVE: Resilience to 100 is priority #1. Then it depends on your build - but generally Resilience and class ability to 100, then Disc. Int can be left alone in 99% of cases.

            • For me at least I go Recov and Resilience. Since I like to titan skate, I run low mobility for shorter jumps and my dunemarchers for more speed. In all, I’m flying across the map within seconds while having high damage resistance and recovery
