My time as a bottom tree storm caller main
I have played bottom tree storm caller for years I liked and played it for its unique form of support even though it was lacking in that aspect and never able to compete in pve.
For years I was waiting for the rework since the addition of the new subclass system in beyond light. In the mean time I eagerly awaited every season in hopes of a new exotic or buff or even mod to enable me to use this subclass in the support role and be welcomed in raid and nightfall teams alike.
Then witch queen was announced and with it the subclasses I was excited for the first time in a long time for this game. When I learned we would have to wait 2 seasons till we would get arc 3.0 I was ok with this as it was probably going to be good. After seeing how the reworks where getting better one by one I thought that I was finally going to be able to lean into the support summoner fantasy "arc shaman" as bungie would call it.
Then we got arc 3.0 it was earth shattering for me blanket nerfs no new support tools in base kit, arc soul was made worse for team play, we lost the multiplicative movement buffs and rift regen from electrostatic mind, Ionic traces something I was excited for where neutered turned into Inferior wells of light that teammates can't even get and if you want to give your teammates a negligible amount with a cooldown you have to wear an exotic I spent 30 ascendant shards to lean into the fantasy unfortunately for me it is no better If not worse than pre rework.
For those of you who like this rework good for you enjoy your flavor of the season. For me at least this rework is hell I and I want out.

3 RepliesThis is a unique post and most certainly one that's got me thinking a little. As someone that hasn't used warlocks arc 3.0 due to time restrictions irl. I do want to dive fully into warlocks arc 3.0 now and see what it's like. So, I could be rude and just say get gud or get better at arc or whatever. But I'm gonna take. Different approach here, I invite you to share your build. (Apsects and fragments included along with the abilities). The reason this post is generally interesting and unique is because you don't see many arc soul support players. I've only actually seen one other guy who my friend use to carry a lot in trials and that's why he went with the arc soul support route to help the friend carrying him. And it was always interesting and funny how the trials games went.

I played bottom tree arc as well. It was so much fun, Arc 3.0 is kinda lame in comparison. I miss elec surge so much
