I’m sure I’m not the only one who dislikes the idea of having to level up a new weapon pattern to craft another roll of a weapon pattern that you’ve already leveled up sufficiently. I thought of an idea the other day, want to know what others think and maybe put it on Bungie’s radar. Say you level a weapon pattern up to the highest level needed to unlock the last remaining perk(s). Every level after that has absolutely no point. What if, instead of the weapon continuously gaining levels that aren’t needed, those levels are stored (as a currency maybe) which can later be used to instantly level another pattern of the same weapon. I think it’s important that it only be available for duplicate patterns, not every other pattern available. This would only be a great time saver. All materials needed to purchase perks would stay the same. e.g. You craft a weapon like Thoughtless. You could have Rapid hit & Firing line for those raid/dungeon dps times, or you could have Rapid hit/Overflow & Focused fury for when you’re on your own. You could craft one of the rolls, and keep earning excess levels with this good/god roll instead of a base weapon pattern, so that you can expedite the process of crafting a second weapon roll.
Let me know what you guys think, if you think this is a bad idea, please explain why.

2 RepliesDon’t get me wrong, I really think it’s a cool idea but this might make weapon crafting too easy and if we pan crafting were too easy it might ruin a game like Destiny

It’s not a horrible idea, but I think it would be better & take up less space if after you purchased perks you could just go back to the enclave & reset the perks for neutral elements.
