If it makes the endgame to easy for you and your team simply don’t use the thing. Vault it and let it collect dust. The end.

Edited by Infamous067: 9/13/2022 1:16:41 PMDivinity is not really even a required exotic. You can still melt bosses just as easily even without the big crit box it provides. The only thing that makes divinity OP I would say is the debuff. I didn’t know it was actually stronger than tethers. I feel the debuff needs to be brought down to like 15%. If players want a stronger debuff then thats when tethers should come to mind. The most divinity should provide is the bubble which allows the lower skill players to do good enough damage. This will make divinity a viable exotic for everyone and the elitist players will have to choose to use it or not since it will no longer be a requirement for them considering they can land their shots. They claim they have the skill to land shots right? They wouldn’t need divinity anymore lol

Edited by Lord Araphel: 9/13/2022 1:03:36 PMDoesn't even need a nerf it's just toxic elitism from the top and I'm disappointed that what I thought only plagued pvp now infected pve. The argument they have is mute, they Said the same about anarchy and now it's garbage. The did the same to izanagi and now it's garbage. How many guns and I'll even throw pvp in have to be ruined for less then 1%. Abilities stacking was made Cuzco of these clowns and Abilities were nerf and we still trying to go further down. Ridiculous.

9 RepliesOr just sunset it from nightfall and fix the problem for good

12 RepliesIt trivialises large portions of the endgame. And as long as something is in the game people will use it. Just like the Riven cheese. It's even impossible to find ppl to do it legit.

1 ReplyWow if only you weren’t the only one with such a brilliant mind this one in a million idea might have helped us avoid this entire situation. I’m so glad nasa who I’m sure you just work for let you to take a short break to shed such a ground breaking insight with the less capable. An idea with such elegance it solves an issue without actually solving anything, addresses the problem without addressing a thing and is so obvious most would feel foolish for simply feeling the compulsion to voice it. Not you though a true Edison of our time.

Edited by X 5wift Ninja X: 9/12/2022 7:52:10 PMThere are several problems with this argument. First of all, unless they just decide to disable it for the day 1 raid, it would still be essentially mandatory to use it in order to compete. Even if they do disable it for day 1 raids, people will require you ti use divinity for lfg, so you can’t necessarily just choose not to use it. Another thing, it shouldn’t be up to players to handicap themselves in order to have a challenge. If it’s up to the player, then who’s to say where you should draw the line? Like, at what point is it no longer and intentional challenge and instead just dumb build crafting? Build crafting is part of the skill in any mmo game, so in order to challenge yourself in this way, you’d have to refrain from utilizing the full extent of your skill. It would be like telling an MLB player that they can only play against little league players, and if they want to challenge themselves they have to make things up like no running more than one base at a time, or not hitting the ball as hard as they can. At that point they’re still not being challenged because they’re not being allowed to use their full range of skill. It should be up to the game to provide a challenge, not the player, who is normally expected to do whatever they can to succeed. It’s also just an arbitrary challenge; it’s not standard. Very few people are doing a “no Divinity” challenge in, say, master raids, because Divinity is just a part of your kit that it’s assumed you use. So you can’t fairly compare to other people. Finally, and to some this might be the most important point, what if you just like Divinity? What if you want to use it because it happens to be your favorite gun, or you love the uniquely supportive play style it requires? What if it’s your favorite weapon, but you also want to be challenged. You’re saying screw them I guess, because in order to use their favorite weapon they can’t be challenged, and in order to be challenged they can’t use their favorite weapon.

Tell me you don’t understand the balance issues we’ve had without telling me.
