Sbmm needs to happen
I am currently on a 7 loss streak in trials. This shouldn't even be a thing. Yo bungie fix your damn matchmaking system is horrible.

I mean, it’s a thing if you’re bad…with no sbmm that’s what happens when you’re a lower-skill player, you lose a lot. I’m not saying that’s a perfect reality, but it’s not Bungie’s fault if you lose. It’s also not always your fault either, but I mean by you losing a lot that also means someone’s winning a lot, so that person must be doing something right.

It is not just you matching 1.3+ players. The average Trials player is probably that k/d, if not higher. I understand that Trials is difficult, and I can sympathize with that, but there is a minimum skill requirement to play and win

1 ReplyTrials has never had skill based matchmaking and should never have as it is against the spirt of the game mode. Trials is a hard core pvp mode made to challenge the best pvp players in the game. The only skill based matchmaking fir Trials is players themselves deciding if they are good enough to play. While Bungie has made it easier for players to play Trials and get rewards they will only hold your hand so far. If you want to go to the Lighthouse you have to prove you are worthy by defeating all opposition no matter what skill level they are and no matter what skill level your team mates are. If you don't like this fact then stick to the normal pvp modes. As a wise man once said "if you can not take the heat stay away from the fire".

1 ReplyTo be fair, trials is more than dead right now (end of season). The less people play, the harder it gets. I also found it pretty sweaty this week.

It's a glorified 3v3 Elimination mode. I don't have a team to go in it with. Freelance is just the opportunity for me to max out the rank and gain some rewards that are Trials themed. That's it. End of list. The Adept weapons and Flawless passage is just the cherry on top (if I manage to reach it), as far as I'm concerned. I'm the odd one out for not having a team, during the regular weekends. Only thing I would probably ask for: To not keep the adept mods seperate between PvE and PvP, (I don't know if this is still a thing.) They should all be unlockable via Trials or GM Nightfalls and that's it. One activity from PvE and one from PvP for all of them. Players pick the preferred mode they are good at. That and give Trials armor (Flawless runs, obviously - again, don't know if this is a thing, not Flawless.) an extra slot like whatever armor set in PvE has it. Then mix in the older Trials weapons and armor with the Trials Engrams. Maybe it'll increase the Freelance numbers a little more? The loot available should be consecutively increasing, instead of making it a "keeping up with the current fashion" feel. At least that's the impression I'm getting. Next week when Freelance is back on, I'll go in with my Flawed Passage of Wealth and just aim to reset my Rank, and see how far I can go. Got to Mythic 1 from the last Freelance, regardless of the number of horrible blowouts that happened. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The matchmaking does indeed suck, so many times have i been matched against people who has gone flawless. Whilst i do not like the current match making, i do work with it. I know that i won't really win and thus just focus on my bounties. You don't realy need too win to get Trials rank points now, sure you get a little bit more from winning but it is not necessary. It sucks if you wanna try to go flawless, but if you wanna do that you will need a premade team to make it much easier.

Practice more. SBMM may take a bit to find players of a similar skill set to you tho.....
