Ngl, as someone who was 0.6 in trials season 10 and now I'm double that and I've improved in all aspects of pvp. Matching against people who are weaker or same skill back in season 10. That really did not improve any skills, it did nothing for me. But matching against better players actually made me more aware and see what they did and I copied it. It made me improve. But what you also have to realise when you want to improve its mostly about your frame of mind. If you keep getting tilted and angry when you loose you'll never improve. Take the Ls and the beat downs but don't keg it affect you or make you stop trying to improve. Instead look at what the enemy is using weapons mods stats and look how they move how they take engagements. Then try to copy that other matches. What also helps is looking at tutorials and vids of improving in pvp. And playing with people who are also dedicated to improve or actually better than you so they can help ya out..

I don't see how people can get mad at the way this game works.

Bungie will never be able to provide good matchmaking. There are too many variables for them to balance the game. All they do is rotate the meta. If you want to play a game where there is balance, then play Halo.
