Mara caused all of the events of forsaken and beyond light; Eramis and Uldren both escaped from the prison of elders because of Variks’ waning faith in the queen. She was also willing to kill off almost the entire awoken fleet in order to get into Oryxs’ throne world. It’s also likely that the queen knew about Oryxs’ super weapon that wiped out the Awoken fleet: Uldren suspects that she must have known when he wakes up in his crashed ship on Mars. She’s not “the clever one” as the nine called her; she’s a very bold idiot. What the heck did she think she was gonna do when she got into oryxs’ throneworld? Throw a couple of harbingers at him? I don’t think so. One could argue that her harbingers helped us to gain access to Oryxs’ Dreadnought, but I think we still could have gotten on with just Caydes’ stealth tech. Lol I thought that Savathun was our greatest enemy, but now that I’ve really looked into it, Mara sov has been the one that’s really been screwing up everything! (Uldren wouldn’t have actually been in the prison of elders because he wouldn’t have gone looking for Mara and subsequently he wouldn’t have been corrupted by Riven. Then, as we all know, Uldren goes on to kill Cayde while escaping the prison of elders. So, in short, Mara caused Caydes’ death. Even if it really wasn’t by her hands. In the end she’s still hot, though.)

She's not an idiot because she knew exactly what she was doing. To a certain degree, she just doesn't care. She didn't care about Cayde, or Uldren, actually.
-
<She is responsible for Forsaken, but not for what you got there. Her crime for this DLC is present-day and far back, before the Awoken even knew of the Hive.>
-
Mara isn’t responsible for Variks decisions. She wouldn’t of encountered Oryx in his throneworld, she was expecting us to kill him and her to swoop in and take his power. Considering we barely got on board through a hole she made before getting our stealth ship blown up, no. We wouldn’t of made it on without her. I find it very strange you don’t seem to believe in being responsible for your own choices. I don’t see you blaming us for killing Crota, which brought Oryx here and led to the events of TTK. Can’t have it both ways.

Mara Sov is a problematic wifey, that causes jealousy issues...(Shaxx?, Uldren?) This is why I always prefer Petra, Petra is a nice cute girl without problems...

Whoa now, LANGUAGE. 😂😂😂

1 ReplyYou might want to go back and really watch the ttk cut scenes. Everything that unfolded in the campaign was part of her plan. If she didn't make that sacrificial play at the beginning of ttk, things would have played out very differently and there is a good chance we would have died and lost to oryx. The events of forsaken happened due to savathun and Varicks feeling sad for the state of his people. This is even brought up in BL as well as several lore tabs.

How dare you say that about my queen

I don't think she's stupid, more cold, cruel and manipulative.

I swear fealty to Her Royal Majesty. Your biased choices are harsh!

5 RepliesShes hot, thats all I know about her. Everything she says always sounds like nonsense so I get what you mean.

The r34 artists would disagree

She's actually pretty cunning and brilliant. Say what you want about her methods, but the Marasenna Lore Book pretty much solidifies how intelligent and frankly how ruthless she is. Easily my favorite character

3 RepliesEdited by Tin Akkar: 7/24/2021 6:13:30 PMWhile gameplay might be a bit stale, I do find the lore to be pretty interesting. You look like you take the game fairly seriously, BrownJenkin2. Looks you invest quite a bit of time into this game. (This was directed to another person that commented. I forgot that I could reply. Why are you guys assuming that I am using alternative accounts?)

Someone takes this poor game a bit too seriously

she is an idiot. The Dark Future lore book invalidates itself because if Mara really was as wise, cunning, and brilliant as she was fluffed up to be in the Forsaken lore, then she would have seen all that godawful Days of Future Past shit coming.
